Golf team falls to ASU, Duke

The Arizona women's golf team lost out to rival Arizona State and No. 1-ranked Duke at the Ping/ASU Invitational this weekend, coming in third with a 51-over-par 915.
The Sun Devils shot a 20-over-par 884, followed by the Blue Devils with a 40-over-par 904. UA's individual leaders were senior Krissie Register and junior Jill Gomric, who both shot a 13-over-par 229 to tie for 15th place. ASU's Grace Park won the individual title with a three-over-par 219.
Daniels recently moved up in the MasterCard Intercollegiate rankings to No. 5 in the country. The Wildcats as a team remained No. 2 behind Duke. Next up for Arizona is a trip to Eugene, Ore., for the Pacific 10 Conference Championships April 19-21.
