Icecats sweep weekend series
The No. 5-ranked UA Icecats swept No. 19 Wisconsin-Whitewater for the second time this season, this time defeating them on the road to start out a seven-game road trip.
The Icecats defeated the Warhawks by a score of 9-5 Friday night.
The Icecats exploded again Saturday night, winning 9-3. Sophomore left-wing Paul Dorn scored twice and freshman right-wing Quinn Carter scored his first two goals as an Icecat in the blow-out.
Results from yesterday's game at Marquette were unavailable at press time.
Sweeping the first two games of the trip gives the Icecats a good start as they gear up for nationals in March.
"This series of games on the road will help define just how good of a hockey team we have this year," head coach Leo Golembiewski said. "It's a challenge that we need to rise up to
and conquer, so we can ride a positive wave to nationals."
