Racism evident

Talk about this story

To the editor,

There are two types of people in this world; those who cause humanity's problems and those who solve humanity's problems. Letter writer Justin S. Moon is definitely a member of the former group. After reading his painfully childish and clearly racist article, I found myself in a state of bewilderment, befuddled by the nagging question, "What the hell was he thinking when he wrote this garbage?" In case you missed this little gem, let me summarize it for you. Mr. Moon apparently believes that all white college students are spoiled little rich brats who drive BMW's and wear Ralph Lauren outfits everyday. If this is not a RACIST opinion, I don't know what is. It could also not be further from the truth; many white students barely scrape by and get little to no help from their parents. Before writing his treatise of ignorance, Mr. Moon should have thought to himself, "how would I like it if someone wrote in claiming that all minorities are poor, stupid ghetto trash?" If this sorry excuse for a human being would have done so, perhaps he would never have allowed that piece of literary filth to escape the confines of his (obviously very weak) mind. I won't bother discussing the flaws in Moon's logic because he doesn't use any. Besides, I suspect that if he had attempted to include some sort of reasoning in his letter he would have failed miserably. No, this article is simply meant as an attack on Moon's character, or lack thereof. My advice to Mr. Moon is this: next time you feel the need to express your racist beliefs in public, think long and hard about how foolish it makes you appear.
