Well, this game has turned into a real barnburner. Two teams, fighting for a spot in perhaps the Sun Bowl, Aloha Bowl or Oahu Bowl. Fun times for all. But, the Wildcats have the revenge factor on their side after last year, so look for them to cover the spread. Arizona 45, UCLA 41 Each week I think Stanford is going to go down, and each week they prove me wrong. This team is for real, I guess. So, they should run the table in the Pac-10 and embarrass the conference and their school in the Rose Bowl. Stanford 34, Washington 30 If Reuben Droughns touches the ball 45 times, and Joey Harrington plays at least two quarters, the Ducks roll. Unfortunately for the Sun Devils, this will happen and ASU will play like they did against New Mexico State. Oregon 27, Arizona State 10 Ah, a real game. This one has some implications involved. Georgia is a good squad, but they havenāt proven themselves yet. Here is their chance against a Steve Spurrier squad that just isnāt the same as they normally are. Quincy Carter puts himself in the Heisman watch. Georgia 28, Florida 25 Michigan couldnāt beat Illinois, and IU did. Cam Cameron has this team believing they can play with the big boys in the best conference. Sorry Wolverine fans, but Bloomington isnāt that easy to play in anymore, especially with the 2000 Heisman trophy winner in Antwan Randle-El. Indiana 34, Michigan 31

Danny Farmerās slump began after the UA menās club volleyball team spanked the defending NCAA champs last year. Weāve been waiting for this game since Oct. 10, 1998, but whoās counting? The Wildcats make their appearance in the Rose Bowl, but only to keep hopes for the Sun Bowl alive. Arizona 42, UCLA 21 The Cardinal travel to Washington and try to add to their impressive road record of wins against Arizona, UCLA and USC. Has this ever happened? Since Stanfordās not at home, where even San Jose State knocked them around, Stanford can start making Rose Bowl plans. Stanford 31, Washington 28 J.R. Redmond runs for 220 yards, Ryan Kealy throws for another 300 and the ASU defense keeps Reuben Droughns in check. Still, it goes to the wire, with ASU driving the ball 70 yards down the field to set up a field goal. Itās up, and ... good! Arizona State 44, Oregon 41 Forget going to UCLA this weekend, letās go to the Worldās Largest Cocktail Party! After winning the margarita contest before the game, Floridaās football team continues beating on the Bulldogs, and point towards Nov. 20, when the Seminoles enter ćThe Swamp.ä Florida 35, Georgia 24 The only chance Indiana has at beating Michigan is if Bobby Knight stumbles out of the woods and, mistaking them for deer, begins shooting at every Michigan player. Luke Reckerās old pal, Antwan Randle-El, looks forward to a long basketball season after Dhani Jones and James Hall eat him for lunch. Michigan 37, Indiana 13

This is the closest that the Wildcats will get to playing actually in the Rose Bowl. The disappointing season continues as UCLA finally puts it all together and shows some promise in beating UA on their home turf. Marcus Bell plays big, but it wonāt be enough. UCLA 35, Arizona 28 I still hate the Cardinal and will be thoroughly embarrassed if they represent the Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl. Go Huskies, as Troy Walters and Todd Husak finally taste Pac-10 defeat at the hands of the Marques Tuiasosopo. Washington 42, Stanford 37 Finally, an Arizona team will beat the Ducks; too bad it has to be that other school. J.R. Redmond will run wild and score at least three touchdowns as Reuben Droughns will still be tired after his 45 carries against the Wildcats. Arizona State 28, Oregon 24 Quincy Carter and his Bulldogs will be no match for Steve Spurrierās masterful offensive intellect. Doug Johnson will make the Georgia secondary look like Swiss cheese as the Bulldogs will miss Champ Bailey like UA misses Chris McAlister. Florida 45, Georgia 35 This game is a joke ÷ the Hoosiers donāt even belong in staff picks, but they are here and I have to pick their demise. Drew Henson and Tom Brady will hit David Terrell more than Rocky hit Ivan Drago in ćRocky IV.ä Michigan 99, Indiana 0

With the soap opera that is UA football, the Wildcats have been distracted from preparing for UCLA. Cory Paus will have his breakout game against a likely candidate, the nationās worst secondary. Tackling normal-sized receivers is tough enough for Arizonaās defensive backs. Good luck with Danny Farmer. UCLA 44, Arizona 28 Washington will be the most popular team in the Pac-10, as they will knock off the conferenceās only undefeated squad. No longer will Todd Husak and Troy Walters be the top QB-WR tandem as UW becomes the first Pac-10 team to shut them down. Washington 35, Stanford 21 Great news Sun Devil fans! If you win the rest of your games, including a defeat of Stanford, youāll be in Pasadena for Y2K. Too bad, though ... Oregon will complete their sweep of Arizona schools when Reuben Droughns runs for another 200 yards against ASU. Oregon 44, Arizona State 41 How Ībout dem Dawgs? Georgia fans have been crying all year for Quincy Carter to be included in Heisman Watch Ī99. Passing for over 300 yards against Steve Spurrierās depleted D, Carter will gain the national recognition Dawgs fans have been hoping for and enter the BCS elite. Georgia 38, Florida 28 Just like Arizona discovered last week and Michigan will this weekend, thereās more to life than football ÷ thereās basketball. After the Wolverines are embarrassed again, Ann Arbor will have to wait quite a while before they can once again belt out, ćHail to the Victors.ä Indiana 34, Michigan 31
