Talk about this story

Eating lunch on the UA Mall is so much better with a little music. UAB has jumped to your aid and is presenting Crawdaddy-O today on the Mall for one hour as part of the Eat to the Beat lunch special. Bring some swing into your afternoon and stop by the Mall and listen to some tunes while you gulp down some food. Call William Guth at 621-1111 if you need any more information about Eat to the Beat concerts on the UA Mall.

Swimming and diving has two weekend match-ups, the first of which is against the USC Trojans this afternoon at 1 p.m. They then take on UCLA Saturday at 1 p.m. All swimming events take place at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center, located on the far east end of the UA Mall, adjacent to North Campbell Avenue.

Volleyball also has two key Pac-10 match-ups this weekend. The women from northern California come to town as the UA takes on California tonight at 7 p.m. and Stanford tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. Tickets to both events are free to students with their CatCard.

The Icecats are also busy this weekend. Rutgers rolls into town to take on the No. 6 ranked Icecats at the Tucson Convention Center tonight and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students with a UA CatCard.

And, of course, men's basketball continues its exhibition season with a game Sunday at 3 p.m. against the California All-Stars. Tickets for that game are still available. Stop by the McKale ticket office or call them at 621-CATS.

Fresh off a season finale on Tuesday, members of MTV's Real World are stopping by the UA on Sunday for a discussion with students about "Health and Personal Safety on Campus." Members Matt and Kaia are swinging around the country on MTV's Campus Tour. Not only will Matt and Kaia talk about the show, but they are also geared up to talk about the safety and surroundings of our campus. They will open up the floor for questions after their initial speech, so show up before their 7 p.m. starting time to assure yourself a spot. The whole presentation should last one and a half hours and is in the Arizona Ballroom of the UA Memorial Student Union. Alpha Chi Omega's Ryan Koerner will answer all of your Campus Tour questions at 327-5743.

Jazz musicians from Carnegie Hall swing by Centennial Hall to give us all a dose of the renowned 25-piece ensemble. The Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, led by Jon Faddis, plays tonight at 8 p.m. and tickets can be had for $28 to $36. Call the Centennial Hall box office if you would rather pick up your tickets over the phone at 621-3341.
