Never been to a UA basketball game? Well, tonight is your chance. The UA Women's Basketball team is playing UCLA tonight at 7 in the McKale Memorial Center. Since it's college night, there is free admission for all students with a valid ID. Tickets for the general public cost $5 and seniors and youth pay $3. Contact the McKale Ticket Office at 621-2287 for more information.
There will be a total lunar eclipse tonight, and there is a free viewing at the Flandrau Science Center. The viewing will be from 6:30-10:30 p.m. and weather permitting, there will be large telescopes and giant binoculars set up on the UA Mall in front on the Flandrau Science Center. The Flandrau planetarium theater will also be showing "In Search of New Worlds" at 7:30 p.m. and "Under Arizona Skies" at 8:30 p.m. These showings are $5 for adults and $3 for children 13 and under. Anita Hopper, professor of biochemistry and molecular biology will be presenting a molecular and cellular biology seminar called "Eukaryotic tRNA processing and nuclear export: Rules of nuclear structure and aminoacylation." For a unique look at the Gulf War, check out "Three Kings." The UAB Gallagher Film Series will be showing this movie at 7 p.m. and 9:10 p.m., and the cost is $2.50.
