The Senate reached the bylaws agreement after about an hour of debate with many amendments.
Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law fraternity, received the $1,000 the organization requested for their student-run Law Fair. A few extra dollars, $4.10, was given to the pre-law fraternity to ensure it had enough funds, said Sen. Robert Schapira, a political science sophomore.
Sgt. Brian Seastone, a University of Arizona police officer, was approved to be the ex-officio member.
"It's really exciting that I can be kept informed of what the students do, and it's an honor to be approved," Seastone said.
The next ASUA meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Sept. 6, in the Memorial Student Union Tucson Room.
