NEW YORK - A man has been charged with killing a father of eight by punching him in the face during a dispute in a Times Square parking lot.
Brian Faulkes, 27, was trying to use the lot as a short cut when the manager, Methis Weingarten, 47, ran out to stop him, police said. Faulkes allegedly returned on foot and punched Weingarten once in the face. He collapsed, cracked his skull on the concrete floor and suffered a brain hemorrhage.
Police said Faulkes was charged with criminally negligent homicide Saturday night.
The Bronx man drove off after the Oct. 2 incident and was traced through the license plate number jotted down by witnesses, police said.
