The 11th-ranked Icecats orchestrated their own "Miracle on Ice" when they knocked off No. 2 Delaware 4-3 at the American Collegiate Hockey Association national tournament on Wednesday.

Unfortunately for the Icecats, they were handed a 5-0 setback by No. 7 Illinois in their second game of preliminary round play yesterday, ending the chance for their first Final Four berth since 1997.

Illinois will battle Delaware today to determine the winner of the tournament's Pool B. Due to the Icecats' minus-4 goal differential, they cannot win their bracket if each team finishes round play with 1-1 records.

UA is idle today and will await the outcome of four preliminary round games to determine whether they will play a final contest this season in the tournament's consolation round.
