UA menās golfers sophomore Chris Nallen and junior Ricky Barnes were both named all-Pacific 10 Conference by the leagueās head coaches.
Nallen earned first team honors after compiling a team-leading 71.29 stroke average through 12 events in 2001-02. He posted top-20 finishes in 11 of those 12 events, including five top-10 efforts. He finished in a tie for 19th place at last weekās Pac-10 Conference Championships and was a second team all-Pac-10 pick as a freshman in 2001. Barnes was named to the second team after posting a sixth-place finish at last weekās Pac-10 Championships, his second-best placing of the year. Through 12 events this season, Barnes ranks second on the Wildcat roster with a 72.46 stroke average, including six top-20 finishes. Barnes has 15 rounds at par or better on the year, including four rounds in the 60s. Golf World magazineās preseason Player of the Year, Barnes was a first team selection in both 2000 and 2001.
Since joining the Pac-10 in 1978-79, Arizona golfers have earned first or second team all-conference honors 58 times. It also marks the eighth consecutive season in which the Wildcats have had multiple honorees.
The Arizona menās golf team will next be in action May 16-18 at the NCAA West Regional in Albuquerque, N.M.
