The sight of spooky decorations and the smell of spicy food signal the arrival of Dia de Los Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead. The UA Main Library opens its traditional exhibits today complete with mini-altars, children's toys and a variety of author presentations on ancient Mexican holiday rituals. Discover the origin of Dia de Los Muertos and learn how to party like the natives at local Day of the Dead celebrations. Opening ceremonies begin today at 1 p.m. in the library lobby. For more information on library events, call Ninfa Trejo at 621-4867.
Give blood for your country. Give blood to save lives. Give blood to beat ASU in the 2001 Annual ASU/UA Blood Challenge. For more information on specific donor sites and scheduling, call the Office of Student Programs at 621-8046.

Check out the UAB tent on the Mall between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Friday. Pick up information on a variety of ways to get involved as well as win free prizes and give-aways. For more information on UAB concerts, films and campus activities, call J. J. Kruglick at 621-5779.
