Name: Lovie Jung
Sport: Softball
Year: RS Senior
Position: Shortstop
Jersey: # 3
Hometown: Fountain Valley, Calif.
Why: After a weekend that saw the Wildcats go 3-0 with two wins in Westwood, Calif. against No. 1 UCLA, and a win in Seattle versus No. 4 Washington, Jung's individual performance was, once again, clutch.
On Sunday, in the top of the seventh inning, nursing a one-run lead, bases loaded, with the meat of the Bruins due up, Jung slapped the scoreboard in left field with the neon grapefruit.
Jung leads the Pac-10 in base-rounders (20) and has five loaded-base-clearers on the season. Jung is currently batting .442 with 44 runs, 50 hits, 15 doubles, 20 homers and 59 RBIs.
Wildcat: What's your favorite flick?
Jung: "Shawshank Redemption."

Jung: Love, just Love.
Wildcat: If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
Jung: Europe. I'd just travel Europe.
Wildcat: What superhero would you be?
Jung: Suuuperman!
Wildcat: What song is stuck in your head right now?
Jung: "Hell Yeah," by Ginuwine.
Wildcat: What's your favorite TV show?
Jung: "Baseball Tonight."
Wildcat: Awesome. Favorite team?
Jung: Angels.
Wildcat: Have reality shows gone too far?
Jung: I think they're funny.
Wildcat: Which one's your favorite?
Jung: "The Bachelorette."
Wildcat: Who on the team makes you laugh the most?
Jung: Shelly Schultz.
Wildcat: What fear do you admit to?
Jung: I'm afraid of the dark. (laughing)
Wildcat: What's you favorite pitch to hit?
Jung: Curveball.
Wildcat: Where?
Jung: Mid-thigh ...
Wildcat: Why do you wear #3?
Jung: I wore #33 at Fresno State and in high school, I just changed to 3 when I came here.
Wildcat: What is this team's goal?
Jung: Win the national championship.
Wildcat: It's realistic. You beat No. 1 UCLA twice in two days, how does that feel?
Jung: It's a great feeling, that's a tough road trip.
Wildcat: What's going to happen this weekend?
Jung: I think our team has a lot of confidence right now, but we know we have to work hard every day this week.
