Which UA player will find NFL success?

Call me negative, take away my Arizona beanie, kick me out of school, but I think the only player with "Arizona" in his label that will make the slightest impact in the NFL is Terrell Suggs. Go ahead, my mug picture makes terrific toilet paper. Johnson's solid, but he has "scout player" written all over him; Wade is quick, but small; and Briggs won't be physical enough to compete with the monsters at the next level.

Which senior will make the best NBA impact?

He was a tough match for every NCAA team, and his jump shot improved tremendously all season. Luke Walton will be a good second round pick-up for any team, and with success running through his veins, we could only hope he doesn't flop like Papa Bear did after his UCLA days. The only drawback teams might have is "Let's get Ready to Rumble" might be replaced by "Touch of Grey" when he runs on the floor.

Which UA basketball player is most likely to leave early?

I hate to answer questions with another question, but who has a basketball build that looks like he was carved from Zeus, a wingspan that would challenge most 747s, and suffocating defense that bought him more playing time toward the end of the season? Andre Iguodala will leave after his sophomore season and will be the best NBA player to ever emerge from Tucson, but honestly, past Sean Eliot and the emerging Mike Bibby, what ex-Tucsonan would challenge him?

Should the Iowa State coach be fired?

Absolutely not. The man shouldn't be fired, he should be commended. So he was having a few drinks with some college kids, what's so bad about that? If he was running through school with a mortar, I'd tell officials to look into it, but this shouldn't jeopardize the man's job. Wouldn't you respect Lute Olson a lot more if he was doing a keg-stand on Dead Day? Or picture this, for every point Olson's squad wins by, he takes body shots off of Jennie Finch.

Which UA player will find NFL success?

Given a few more years, Jason Johnson will be the most successful player to come out of this class. He's got the chance to learn with the Buffalo Bills under Pro Bowler Drew Bledsoe, and when he eventually is given some chances in game situations, he'll really show what he can do. Remember the last guy to learn under Bledsoe? Tom Brady. All he did was lead the New England Patriots on their way to becoming Super Bowl champs.

Which senior will make the best NBA impact?

Luke Walton has potential to end up being a great pickup for a team looking for someone good off the bench. He's got mad passing skills like few others his size possess and if he can get his shot down, and a few more baseline moves, he'd be a great addition. Look for him to be taken late second round in the draft by a team looking for someone with some smarts (and as a favor to his father).

Which UA basketball player is most likely to leave early?

There have already been rumblings that Salim Stoudamire is going to head to the draft early and forget his degree. If he could get his shooting to be somewhat consistent, and get his sulking under control, he'd be ready too. It'll be a race between him and Channing Frye to see who gets to the NBA first. It'd be nice, though, if they could first get UA another banner to hang in McKale before they ditch Tucson.

Should the Iowa State coach be fired?

Did the Iowa State coach give that program and university a black eye? Yep. Is he probably being praised by Iowa State students? Yep. No question about it, he acted inappropriately for a coach, but a reprimand on this one would be sufficient. If he does something like that again, ax him, but for now, let the students see him as their hero. At the very least, it could boost ticket sales.

Which UA player will find NFL success?

After recent classes that have been a bust, this year has some potential. Jason Johnson has a definite chance making the QB depth chart as a Buffalo Bill and even if he's not getting tons of time he is making much more than I will be as a substitute teacher. The other players taken and those that signed later also have shots at making their respective squads as well.

Which senior will make the best NBA impact?

Luke Walton has the smarts to make up for his lack of athleticsm, Jason Gardner has the heart of a lion, and Ricky Anderson does all the little things coaches love. I say expand the league in say, Anchorage, Ala, sign Gilbert Arenas and Richard Jefferson. Add in Mike Bibby and Jason Terry and get Steve Kerr to coach. Then maybe I will have a desire to watch the NBA.

Which UA basketball player is most likely to leave early?

Fil Torres really fine-tuned his skills when he and I were practice players for the women's basketball team, but I don't think he will be leaving anytime soon. But just about everyone else on the team could make the jump, or might think they can. Channing, Salim, Hassan ÷ all of them will have great careers in the NBA playing alongside the fellow Wildcats for the Alaskan franchise, it's just a matter of who will be added to the team next.

Should the Iowa State coach be fired?

The Iowa State athletics department has every right to want Larry Eustachy out after his mortifying photo shoot holding Natural Light and being kissed by girls. The bottom line is he needs help, for his alcoholism, and for disrespecting his family öö not to mention taste in beer. If ISU fires him or forces him to step down, he will surely coach somewhere else. Not in Alaska though. Kerr is our No. 1 guy.

Which UA player will find NFL success?

Bobby Wade. He has the stats and athleticism, he was a high school triple jump champ and handled the pressure of being the UA's top target since Dennis Northcutt went to the Browns. He will also have Kordell Stewart and then-hotshot Rex Grossman to throw him the ball. Really the only hole in his resume, other than never getting to a bowl game, was getting arrested. Then again, what UA football player hasn't?

Which senior will make the best NBA impact?

Jason Gardner. He won't get drafted where he should be, because the NBA draft picks usually make as much sense as keeping the comic Blue Balls in the paper, but he has the pedigree. When he came to UA he was heralded as the next Mike Bibby and turned into the next great one-man at Point Guard U. Lute churns out superstar guards like Bruce Smith collects DUI arrests.

Which UA basketball player is most likely to leave early?

You have to go with Salim Stoudamire. His shot is so accurate he could hit Saddam and Osama's love nest. His defense is elite and sometimes he wore an NBA headband. He may be short, but right now he is about as NBA-ready as they come. I asked my mom if she thought he was leaving early and she said he pouts too much. That's the whole NBA. Maybe Ricky should beat his girlfriend to raise his stock.

Should the Iowa State coach be fired?

"Hi my name Larry Eustachy and I'm an embarrassment." I don't think he should be fired for kissing college girls, but going to parties after losing is not good. To be fair, the Cyclones (16-13, 5-11) lost so many games that he would have rarely gotten his chance to get his party on otherwise. Unlike most cases, Iowa State has the perfect candidate, former coach Tim Floyd, the fishing buddy of Jabba the Hutt (Jerry Krause), who has been sitting around polishing his rod.
