The Arizona men's tennis team will travel to a familiar stadium this weekend to compete in the first round of the NCAA regional tournament.
California will host the first round of the fourth seed bracket on Saturday and Sunday in Berkeley, Calif. The Wildcats enter the 64-team tourney ranked No. 34 in the nation.
The Wildcats have drawn Boise State in their first round match up. Cal. and Sacramento State join the Broncos of Boise and Arizona in the bracket. Should Arizona defeat the Broncos they would go on to face the winner of the Golden Bears versus the Hornets.
Boise State comes into the tourney after winning the Western Athletic Conference. In just their second year in the conference the Broncos upset Southern Methodist University in a wild finish to claim the WAC title, and could give the Wildcats all they can handle.
Arizona closed out its season strong defeating rival Arizona State in the final match up of the season by a score of 5-2.
Junior's Whi Kim and Carl Hagman captain a Wildcat squad that picked up its play late in the season. Arizona won four of its last six match ups, including an upset of No. 11 Washington on April 5.
