John Entwistle ÷ member of The Who, died at age 57 on June 27, 2002, while the band was getting ready to go on the road with a major tour.
Bruce Paltrow ÷ Hollywood producer, died on Oct. 2, 2002, of cancer, at age 58. He was married to actress Blythe Danner and was father of actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
Jam Master Jay (Jason Mizell) ÷ DJ with Run-DMC, was shot and killed Oct. 30, 2002, at age 37.
Ian McNaughton ÷ director of many episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus, died Dec. 10, 2002, at age 76, after a car accident.
Joe Strummer ÷ lead singer of Brit band The Clash, died Dec. 22, 2002, at age 50, shortly before the band was to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Maurice Gibb ÷ member of the Bee Gees, died at age 53 on Jan. 12, 2003.
