A university vehicle's front windshield was smashed by a bicyclist June 24 at the loading dock of the Planetary Sciences building, 1629 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
Police were called to the scene after a UA security officer noticed the vehicle had a dented hood and broken windshield.
When police arrived at the scene, they noticed a bike tire mark on the hood of the car with a dusty footprint next to it, reports stated.
It appeared a bicyclist had ridden off the dock onto the vehicle, with the front tire breaking the windshield and the back tire denting the hood, reports stated.
The area has been known as a place where skateboarders and bicyclists perform tricks, reports stated.
The car, which was not drivable, was towed from the scene, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A woman's purse was stolen from the lobby of Yavapai Residence Hall, 1222 E. South Campus Drive, Wednesday, reports stated.
The woman told police she left her purse in the lobby around 9 a.m., and when she returned, it was gone.
Police do not have any suspects or witnesses.
A UAPD drug dog helped Tucson police find approximately 1,000 pounds of marijuana late Wednesday night in a residence on the 2400 block of North Palo Dulce Drive.
The dog reacted to both the windows and patio door of the residence, reports stated.
The UAPD report did not contain any further details.
An incoming student was arrested Wednesday night after an anonymous tipster told police he was walking around with a bong in his pants.
When officers approached the man near Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., he began to walk away, reports stated.
Officers warned the man not to enter the residence hall, but when he did not obey their commands, they handcuffed him, reports stated.
After noticing that the man was hiding something under his shirt, police asked the man to lift it up, reports stated.
The man then pulled out the water bong, which smelled of burnt marijuana, reports stated.
As police searched the man, he told them, "You can keep the bong, but let me go home," reports stated. "I'm not drunk, I'm just a little drunk," he added.
Police also found a bag containing "a green, leafy substance" on the man, reports stated.
The man will begin diversion in the fall when he begins classes, reports stated.
Police were called to the east side of the UA Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., after a man yelled obscenities at a couple, reports stated.
According to reports, a man in a white car drove up to the couple and said, "What a cute couple. Do you have sex? I want to fuck you. I want to fuck you in the ass," reports stated.
The couple did not want to press charges and only asked that the incident be documented, reports stated.
Attempts to find a telephone number for the owner of the vehicle were unsuccessful, as the owner's number was not listed, reports stated.
Police were called to the Main Gate Garage, 815 E. Second St., June 4 after a man became irate and refused to pay a Parking and Transportation Services employee $6 to exit the garage, reports stated.
The man, who was attending a new student orientation, told police he mistakenly parked in the garage and thought he had parked in the Tyndall Garage, reports stated.
The man told police that parking in the Tyndall Garage was free for orientations students and was upset when he found out parking in the Main Gate Garage was not, reports stated.
The garage employee agreed to not to press charges if the man would pay the parking fee, reports stated.
The man paid and left the scene without further incident.
A university laptop was stolen from an employee's office in the Arizona Health Sciences Center, 1510 N. Campbell Ave., between June 12 and June 24, reports stated.
The employee said he had locked his office before leaving for approximately one week. When he returned, the laptop was missing.
Officers did not detect any sign of forced entry, reports stated.
The laptop, valued at $2,293, was the second laptop reported stolen from the building in as many days, reports stated.
The second laptop was valued at $1,571, and was also stolen from a locked office, reports stated.
Police are investigating whether the two thefts were linked and who had access to the offices, reports stated.
