WILDCAT: What's your name?
THOMPSON: M-i-k-e. That's short for Michael.
WILDCAT: Thanks for clarifying.
THOMPSON: No problem.
WILDCAT: What's your major?
THOMPSON: I'm a double major in political science and engineering.
WILDCAT: That's impressive.
THOMPSON: Yeah! (Laughing, and looking deviously at his friend.)
WILDCAT: Are you lying to me?
THOMPSON: No, I'm not lying. Okay, I'm a journalism student.
WILDCAT: Me too!
THOMPSON: Yeah, I'm a journalism, political science major.
WILDCAT: So, are you excited for school to start?
THOMPSON: No, not really, I am just looking forward to graduating.
WILDCAT: Do you like your classes so far?
THOMPSON: No, not really.
WILDCAT: Bummer. What did you do this summer?
THOMPSON: I took summer school and that's about it. I stayed here for the session, and then I went back to California for like a month. That's it.
WILDCAT: Are you from California?
THOMPSON: Yeah, Oakland.
WILDCAT: What made you come here?
THOMPSON: Me and my frat brother came out here together.
WILDCAT: Are you guys loving the heat?
THOMPSON: No, I'm not used to the heat. I have been here four years and I can't handle it.
WILDCAT: It doesn't get any better.
THOMPSON: I know.
WILDCAT: So, if you were to get into a street fight with any cartoon character, super-hero, or cartoon super-hero, who would you choose, and why?
THOMPSON: That's a good one. It would be Daffy Duck, no doubt.
WILDCAT: Why?
THOMPSON: Because he's a punk.
