Ramblin' Man: Allman Brothers Band singer and guitarist Dickey Betts can be seen at the Backstage Sports Grill on Tuesday.

The International Arts Society Film Program presents "Les Enfants du Paradis" on Friday night at 7:30. This film, written by Jacques Prevert and starring Pierre Brasseur, is an epic romance set in France. The event will take place in the Modern Languages building auditorium and is free.

Go see Drop Dead Susie with the Retainers on Friday from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. This local punk-rock band can be seen at Bookman's, 6230 E. Speedway Blvd. This event is free. Call Colin Waite at 748-9555 for more information.

New York band Gogol Bordello will be playing its combination of gypsy, Slavic and punk-rock sounds on Friday at 9 p.m. This event costs $8 and will be held at Club Congress, 311 E. Speedway Blvd. Call 622-8848 for details.

Irish band Round The House will be performing on Friday from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. Come to Montgomery's Irish Pub, 9155 E. Tanque Verde Rd., to hear which acoustic sound, that features instruments like the fiddle, mandolin, and the banjo. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 749-2299.

Cal Productions presents Dickey Betts at the Backstage Sports Grill, 6350 E. Tanque Verde Road, on Tuesday. This performance by the influential guitarist will take place at 8 p.m. after the doors open at 7 p.m. The cost is $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show. For details, call 733-6262.

Go to the Bookman's Music Event on Saturday at Bookman's, 1930 E. Grant Rd. Featuring Patti and Howard Beyer and combining keyboard and vocals, this event will take place from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. and is free. Call Chris Stead at 325-5767 for details.

Show up for Swingin' Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Pima Air and Space Museum, 6000 E. Valencia Rd. You and friends can swing dance underneath the wings of WWII aircraft to the 1940s music of the Tom Patrick Band. This event is free with the $9.75 admission price required to enter the museum. The Osiris Piano Trio will be performing on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. This group from the Netherlands will be playing music by Dutch composers. The Mark Helias Trio will perform Wednesday at 8 p.m. Featuring tenor saxophonist Tony Malaby, this group will play at the Mat Bevel Institute, 530 N. Stone Ave. The cost is $12 to $14. Call 882-7154 for details.
