The Wildcat men's tennis team will travel to two separate tournaments for the second straight week starting today.
The USD All-Collegiate Tournament will see six men travel to San Diego, while two players will make the trip to the Midland Collegiate Classic in Midland, Texas.
Competing against Arizona will be the host school University of San Diego, San Diego State, UC Santa Barbara, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine and Oregon.
The six players traveling to San Diego will be freshman Daniel Andrus, sophomore Chris Gessner, junior Carl Hagman, senior Tom Lloyd, freshman Tim Mullane and sophomore Colin O'Grady.
Hagman is leading the Wildcats with a 5-1 record, including a singles championship at the NAU Inviatational. O'Grady comes in with a 5-2 overall record.
This tournament will be a good test for the Cats as they prepare for the Region VIII South Tournament, which will be held in San Diego next week, and will feature many of the same players.
The two UA players who will be in Texas will be Whi Kim and Paul Warkentin.
The Midland Classic will showcase the 16 top players from eight elite programs. UCLA, Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, California and the defending national champions USC will all be in attendance.
