A UA student's Jeep Cherokee was damaged Monday at the Tyndall Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

The damage occurred at the exit when the electronic barrier arm came down on the roof of the car. The student said the arm came down "way too fast," reports stated.

The damage consisted of a series of scrapes on the roof of the vehicle.

A UA employee at the cashier's desk in the garage gave the student a claim form and said that Parking and Transportation services would contact her soon, reports stated.

UA police responded to reports of criminal damage Monday at the Sigma Kappa sorority house,1125 N. Vine Ave., reports stated.

Someone threw a rock through a window on the northwest side of the building. The sorority mom discovered the damage and called the police. The mom said that the damage had to occur somewhere between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., reports stated.

The officer who responded to the scene said the rock could not be dusted for fingerprints because of its rough surface.

A UA student notified police after discovering marijuana in the room he was sharing with two other students in Cochise Residence Hall, 1018 E. South Campus Drive, Monday, reports stated.

The student said that the roommate had been smoking marijuana in the dorm room for some time now and that it was causing problems between them. The reporting student had moved out three weeks prior to notifying police because the roommate would not stop smoking, reports stated.

The student and a police officer returned to the room to recover a blue glass tube filled with residue that had been left on a desk. When the two men got there, they discovered a green leafy substance in the top desk drawer along with two orange pills, reports stated.

There was also a small bag of seeds on the floor to the right of the desk.

The other roommate said that he had never seen the suspect smoking marijuana before, but did notice the smell and had seen marijuana on the desk, reports stated.

The officer took the orange pills and called Poison Control to identify them. They were identified as amphetamines. The pills and the marijuana were taken into UA property, reports stated.

A UA employee's vehicle was intentionally vandalized in a parking lot at 1340 E. Second St. on Monday, reports stated.

The woman parked her car in an open spot and left it unattended. There were no other vehicles around hers at the time. When she returned, there was a blue Chevrolet Cavalier parked on her passenger side, reports stated.

While she was getting in her car, a white, heavy-set male with thinning hair approached the Cavalier and struck her car with his door when he was getting in. The man proceeded to strike the car again, reports stated.

The woman asked the man what he was doing and he replied, "Learn how to park, you fucking bitch!" The man drove off, but not before the woman was able to take down his license plate number, reports stated.

Police responded to reports of malicious mischief in the Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., Sunday, reports stated.

Apparently, someone had discharged a fire extinguisher in the hallway, setting off the fire alarm.

There are no suspects and the custodial staff was notified to clean up the mess, reports stated.

A UA student discovered an offensive message on her answering machine at Skyview Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St., Friday, reports stated.

A roommate's friend had left the message, which called the woman a "bitch-ass fucker."

The woman had told her roommate that she did not want her friend in the room because she had just got out of prison, reports stated.

The woman was not interested in pressing charges but did want to document the incident, reports stated.
