Someone damaged the door handle and the paper dispenser in a men's bathroom on the third floor of McClelland Hall, 1130 E. Helen St., on Feb. 16 or Feb. 17, reports stated.

A custodian found the damage and told police random damage to the bathroom happened nearly twice a week last year. The custodian said he believed a similar pattern of random damage might be starting up again, reports stated.

When police arrived, they saw the door handle had been taken off the door and the plastic dispenser cover of the paper towel dispenser had been ripped off and left on the ground.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A plumber's tools, including a $268 drill, were stolen Feb. 9 from the Chemistry building, 1306 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The plumber told police he had been working in the attic around 1:30 p.m. when he was called away to do something else. He returned around 2 p.m. to find his tools, including the drill, a wrench, a screwdriver and a small hammer, were missing.

A UA employee told police around the same time that he had seen three young men exit the building in a big hurry. The employee said he hadn't seen the men carrying any tools, but they had been acting suspiciously, reports stated.

Police have no suspects.


One student's wallet and another student's backpack were stolen Tuesday from lockers in the Maroney Theater, 1025 N. Olive Road, reports stated.

The students both put their items in the same locker, which they did not lock, around 1 p.m. They returned at 3 p.m. to find their things gone, reports stated.

The wallet contained 72 cents and a bus pass. The backpack had a $100 Sprint cell phone and $24.50 in it. One of the girls said she had seen an older man with a white hat leaving as she went to check her locker. She told police the man had been acting suspiciously, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student's $73 red bike was stolen sometime between Feb. 16 and Wednesday from Pima Residence Hall, 1340 E. First St., reports stated.

The student told police he had locked his bike around 7 p.m. on Feb. 16 and when he went to get his bike at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the bike was gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student lost his $150 T-mobile cell phone on Feb. 14 or Feb. 15, while he was at the UA Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The student told police he had last used his cell phone around noon on Valentine's Day, but didn't realize it was gone until 11 a.m. the next day.

The student was advised to cancel his cell phone service, reports stated.


A student's $160 red and silver bike was stolen sometime Tuesday or Wednesday from Coconino Residence Hall, 1003 N. Olive Road, reports stated.

The student told police she had locked her bike with a cable lock around 4 p.m. Tuesday, and when she returned around noon the next day, her bike was gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A man lost his debit card sometime on Feb. 16 or Feb. 17 at North Park Avenue and East University Boulevard, reports stated.

The man told police he had used his debit card around 8 p.m. on Feb. 16, but didn't realize it was gone until 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The man was advised to cancel the card, reports stated.


A $300 green mountain bike was stolen Tuesday from Villa Del Puente Residence Hall, 575 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

The owner of the bike told police he had locked the bike around 6 p.m., and when he returned an hour later, it was gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student lost his wallet Tuesday while he was at the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The student told police $360 in cash had been in the wallet, along with his two Visa debit cards and his CatCard.

The student told police he had used his CatCard to get into the game room around 1 p.m. He noticed his wallet was missing about 1:45 p.m., reports stated.

The student said he had checked with the information desk to see if the wallet had been turned in and it hadn't reports stated.
