A $500 gray electrical box was damaged Wednesday morning in the Park Avenue Garage, 1140 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

When police arrived, they examined the damaged box, on the west-side exit lane. The damage didn't prevent the exit arms from working.

It looked like a car had run into the box, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A $1,500 laptop computer, a $50 briefcase and two backpacks were stolen from a car Tuesday night while it was parked in a Zone 1 parking lot, 435 N. Fremont Ave., reports stated.

The owner of the car told police she had parked the car around 5:30 p.m., and when she returned around 6:30 p.m., the items were gone.

The owner said she had left the car's window down.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

A man saw someone steal his red mountain bike Tuesday morning while he was in a 7-Eleven on the corner of East Speedway Boulevard and North Park Avenue, reports stated.

The man flagged down an officer while he watched the suspect ride his bike west on Speedway.

Police searched the area and were unable to find the suspect or the bike, reports stated.

The man and the 7-Eleven clerk gave police conflicting descriptions of what the suspect looked like.

Police were asked to help find a prisoner who had escaped from the Federal Corrections Institute in Safford on the morning of Feb. 26, reports stated.

Police used a canine ranger to help track the prisoner.

UAPD, along with several other canines and officers, searched the area and found footprints.

Police were following the footprints when they were called off because the prisoner had entered Thatcher. Local police trailed the subject.

Police received a call saying the prisoner had been found in a storage yard in Thatcher, reports stated.

The prisoner had been serving a 20-year sentence for armed bank robbery when he escaped.

Four glass windows were shot with a pellet gun Monday night at Colonia de La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

It was estimated that it would cost about $600 to replace all four windows.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

A $60 stereo, some CDs and a pair of sunglasses were stolen Tuesday when two cars were broken into while parked in a Zone 1 parking lot, 1240 E. Ft. Lowell Road, reports stated.

A student saw that a white Nissan Sentra and a white Ford Escort both had shattered rear windows and they called police.

When police arrived, they saw the passenger-side rear window had been shattered on the Nissan and the driver-side rear window had been shattered on the Ford.

The owner of the Ford told police there wasn't anything missing from his car and the window was the only thing damaged, reports stated.

When the owner of the Nissan arrived, she said there was also damage to her center console.

The Nissan owner told police her car stereo, CDs and sunglasses had been stolen from her car.

Police were not able to get any fingerprints because of the rain.

A student's CatCard was stolen Feb. 24 from her room in the Manzanita-Mohave Residence Hall, 1000 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

The student told police she had seen her CatCard on her desk around 7 p.m. and realized it was missing around 11:30 p.m.

The student said she sometimes left her door unlocked to go do laundry, reports stated.

The student and her roommate had looked for the CatCard for several days before contacting police.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
