A student reported his checkbook stolen and that someone had written a $300 check in his name, reports stated.

The student had left the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house, 1509 E. Second St., in July. Over the summer, he received a bank statement showing the cashed check on Aug. 12. He did not know that he didn't have the checkbook in his possession until then, reports stated.

The student reported the incident on Sept. 5 and had already closed his account, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A U-Mart employee and her supervisor reported on Sept. 4 that a male student was harassing her at work and hacking into her computer, reports stated.

The student said the man was sending inappropriate e-mails to her and also gaining access to her computer journals, e-mails and online messaging accounts, reports stated.

The male student had been following the woman around for five months, coming into the U-Mart to harass her, reports stated.

On one occasion, the woman's supervisor warned the male student to leave the store. The man got into the woman's face and said she'd be sorry, reports stated.

Police advised that both women get orders of protection so the student could not enter the store, reports stated.


A student's bike was stolen after it was locked to a bike rack at the Chemistry Building on Sept. 9, reports stated.

The student reported that his Nishiki Blazonas bike was gone when he came to unlock it, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A man was arrested after police found that he had an outstanding shoplifting warrant from Tucson Police Department, reports stated.

A UAPD officer saw the man sitting in an alley at 1001 North Park Ave. The man told police that he was sitting and resting, reports stated.

Police ran his name through the police database and found the outstanding shoplifting warrant. The man was arrested and booked into Pima County Jail, reports stated.

Police confiscated his red bicycle and a 6-inch crescent wrench, reports stated.


A student reported that his bike was stolen from a bike rack at McClelland Hall, 1130 E. Helen St., on Sept. 9, reports stated.

The bike, a blue and green Trek hybrid bicycle, was locked earlier in the day. When the student returned it was gone along with the U-lock, reports stated.

Police have no witnesses or suspects at this time, reports stated.


A woman reported that somebody had stolen her Zone 1 parking pass from her car on Sept. 5, reports stated.

The woman parked her car at the UA parking lot, 220 W. 6th St., on Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. When she returned the next morning, she noticed the pass was missing, reports stated.

The woman told police that she may have forgotten to lock her door after parking it. Police have no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A UA student reported his red Eyedrive GT mountain bike stolen on Sept. 9, reports stated.

The student locked the bike to a rack outside the Crowder Hall Music Center. When he returned, it was gone, reports stated.

Police have no witnesses or suspects at this time, reports stated.


A student reported his car stereo stolen from his car on Sept. 4, reports stated.

The student said he parked his car in a Zone 1 parking lot at 7:30 a.m. and when he returned at 3:52 p.m. that day, his right front passenger side window was shattered, reports stated.

When he looked into his car, a 1999 Hyundai Accent, he saw that his dashboard was smashed and his factory car stereo had been removed, reports stated.

Police dusted the car for prints but were unable to find any. Police have no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A student reported that his bike was stolen from a rack at the Forbes Building, 1140 E. South Campus Drive, on Sept. 9, reports stated.

The gray Roadmaster was locked to the rack the day before and when the student returned, it was missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.
