The ASUA Senate approved the Appropriations Board consent agenda for $400 for Alpha Phi Gamma.

Alpha Phi Gamma requested $900 in funding to attend its annual conference in June in Los Angeles.

The senate also approved a Solar Living Resolution stating that ASUA supports research toward and promotion of environmentally and socially responsible living.

The UA Student Initiative Solar Power Living & Learning organization put forth the resolution.

Members of the club said they hope the senate would support the experience because it would benefit the UA.

Sen. Nick Bajema said the club has been persistent and done a good job and that he hopes the resolution accomplishes the club's goals.

The senate approved a $6,100 contract for Second City improvisational comedy group to perform on May 4 at the South Ballroom in the Student Union Memorial Center.

Sarah Calvert, special events director, said she is excited the group will return to the UA after performing with Andy Dick at the Rialto Theatre last year.

Sen. Jacob Rueben asked why the event was being held in the ballroom.

Calvert said the ballroom was the largest place available in May. The ballroom has 600 seats.

Tickets will be available on April 26, and the show is free for students.
