A man was arrested Sunday at East 10th Street and North Campbell Avenue for having the wrong license plates and expired registration, and for not having an Arizona driver's license and insurance, reports stated.

Police pulled over the man, who was driving a 1985 Cadillac, around 8 p.m. The man gave police his driver's license. Police saw it was not an Arizona license and discovered that the license plates on the Cadillac were registered under a woman's name.

The man told police he bought the car from the woman and forgot to get the title changed.

Police cited the man and released him, reports stated.


A student's $300 dark green bike was stolen April 16 from the Modern Languages building, 1423 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The student told police he locked his bike with a cable lock around 9 a.m., and when he returned around 2:30 p.m., his bike was gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A man was arrested for drunken driving April 16 after police pulled him over at East Sixth Street and North Tyndall Avenue for speeding, reports stated.

Police heard a car loudly accelerating around 2 a.m. and saw a car speeding down Sixth Street

Police estimated the car was going more than 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.

When police pulled the man over, he ran into the curb. Police smelled alcohol on the man's breath and noticed he had red, watery eyes.

The man admitted to police he had been drinking and agreed to take a field sobriety test.

After the man took the test, police took him to UAPD and he was given a Breathalyzer test. The man blew a .137, reports stated.

The man was cited and released.


A man was cited April 17 for driving on private property at East Sixth Street and North Park Avenue and driving on a suspended license April 17, reports stated.

Police saw the man driving on private property around 4 p.m.

When police pulled the man over, they discovered his license had been suspended.

The man was cited and released, reports stated.

Police pulled over the man around 11 p.m. at North Warren Avenue and East Speedway Boulevard after he made an illegal right turn.

The man was cited and then released, reports stated.


A student's $250 flip phone was stolen April 13 from the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The student told police he put his phone next to a computer and left to go to the bathroom around 9 a.m. The student said that when he returned 15 minutes later, his phone was gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
