A man was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia and had an outstanding warrant when he was pulled over for not having a headlight on his bicycle near East Sixth Street and North Martin Avenue at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, reports stated.

Police checked the records of the man and found that he had an outstanding warrant for a marijuana possession charge from TPD and searched the man's backpack.

Inside the backpack were hypodermic needles the man said he used to "shoot speed," reports stated.

The man was also carrying a baggie containing a white powder or crystal substance, a vial of a white crystalline substance and plastic bags with a green leafy residue, which the man said had contained marijuana earlier that day, reports stated.

The man also had small baggies in his front pants pocket that had a Batman logo and contained a white residue.

Police handcuffed and arrested the man for the outstanding warrant and cited and released him for the drugs and paraphernalia possession.


A man was found lying in the road on Thursday at 11 p.m. near North Campbell Avenue and East Third Street, and transported to UMC for medical attention reports stated.

The man was disoriented and said he was riding his bike along the street and he passed out.

The man could not tell police what day or month it was, reports stated.

The man also did not know his address, phone number or the name of anyone that could be contacted to care for him, reports stated.

Tucson Fire Department arrived and could not find any obvious injuries on the man.

TFD transported the man to UMC for further medical assistance.

The man's bike was placed into UAPD property for safekeeping.


An employee with Printing and Graphics, 102 W. Stadium Dr., had her $80 CD player and "Celtic Twilight" CD stolen from her desk sometime between Thursday at 4:45 p.m. and Friday at 9 a.m., reports stated.

The player was on her desk in an open and unlocked office space in the building.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A car backed into another car in the Main Gate garage, 815 E. Second St., while they were driving between the first and second levels on Friday at 12:45 p.m., reports stated.

One car was following the other through the garage when the first car stopped and put his car in reverse and hit the other car.

The drivers exchanged information and the first car took responsibility for the accident, reports stated.

The second car wanted police to write a report for the incident for insurance purposes.

There were no injuries in the accident, reports stated.


A broken Lexmark printer was found in the road near East Helen Street and North Santa Rita Avenue on Friday around 8 a.m., reports stated.

The officer that found the printer noticed it was a road hazard and cleared it from the road.

The broken printer was taken to UAPD and placed into property.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student's Chevy Blazer was stolen while it was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1420 E. Seventh St., sometime on Friday, reports stated.

The student parked and locked the car around 7 a.m. and when he returned at 3:45 p.m. the car was missing.

The student said that no one else had keys to the vehicle and he did not know of anyone who may have taken it, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A shed at the Campbell Farm East, 4040 N. Campbell, used as a high pressure lab for the Arthropod Resistance Department was broken into sometime over the weekend, reports stated.

An employee found the door of the shed pried open and a chain link fence near the shed cut and peeled back to grant access to the trespasser, reports stated.

The employee said he had last seen the shed on Thursday at 11 a.m. and it was intact.

The wooden frame of the doors was harmed but the lock was not, reports stated.

The employee said that nothing was missing from the area, but he was unfamiliar with the lab and he didn't know if anything was missing, reports stated.

Police photographed the scene and the employee said that he would contact UAPD if anything was discovered missing.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
