The slogan "Miller Time" usually refers to fermented hops, but there is a small group of people who know it actually refers to shots.
Shots on goal, anyway.
Sophomore Mallory Miller is leading the Arizona soccer team with 25 shots through six games so far, 11 of them on goal. Miller has also put up eight points (three goals and two assists), putting her name right next to junior Candice Wilks atop the Wildcat points list.
Cats keep pace with top scorers sidelined
According to history and statistics, Arizona (4-3) should not be scoring. The two most productive players on the roster didn't play last Sunday.
Wilks scored the game winner against Kentucky last Friday, but was scratched from the lineup on Sunday against San Francisco.

Wilks has eight points on the season by way of four goals. She was Arizona's points leader in 2001 (eight goals and three assists), earning herself All-Pacific 10 honorable mention honors.
Wilks practiced yesterday but underwent an MRI as well.
"It didn't rule out a torn meniscus, but I am going back to the doctor (Wednesday)," Wilks said. "I will be traveling with the team so I will be able to play."
Then there was last year's record-setting season for redshirt sophomore Kelly Nelson. Returning from a torn ACL in 2001, Nelson turned in 13 goals and one assist in 2002. Nelson was Arizona's MVP, second-team All-Pac-10 and part of the SoccerBuzz West Region Freshman team.
Nelson has not played this year due to a badly sprained ankle, but has been practicing with the team.
Former leader returns to watch
On hand at Murphey Stadium last weekend was one of last year's two seniors ÷ and she was more than glowing while watching Arizona beat Kentucky. Tymarie Novak was an anchor on defense during her time with the UA, and enjoyed seeing her team shutout UK.
"It's so exciting to see them win," she said. "Beating Kentucky at home makes it even sweeter."
Novak said she can see a difference between this year's team under Dan Tobias, and last year's, which was headed by Cathy Klein.
"They're definitely playing more as a team," she said. "They look like they've jelled together better than last year."
