Two officers responded to a report of underage drinking filed by a resident assistant in Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St., Sunday.

The responding officers arrived at the room and noted that there were seven people drinking.

One of the residents was asked if he had been drinking after the officers noticed he had red, watery, bloodshot eyes, reports stated.

The student told the officers he had taken three shots of Jack Daniel's whiskey. A half-empty bottle of the whiskey was on the floor.

Another student said he had been drinking Keystone Beer at a friend's house, reports stated.

A third student told officers she had taken three shots of alcohol.

The three students were cited with minor in possession, reports stated.

The officers disposed of the bottle of whiskey and beer bottles found in the room.


A UA student's vehicle was damaged in the parking lot at 1852 E. First St.

The caller reported a dent on the hood of his vehicle. He also reported that his license plate cover was broken, reports stated.

He said he had parked his car at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

When he returned at 9:50 a.m. on Sunday he discovered the damage, reports stated.

There were no fingerprints and no suspects or witnesses.


An unknown suspect sprayed a fire extinguisher in a room of the Kappa Sigma fraternity house, 1423 E. First St., Sunday.

Residue from the fire extinguisher damaged a pool table, love seat and carpet in the room, reports stated.

The glass case storing the fire extinguisher was smashed, and a picture hanging on the wall next to the case was knocked off and broken.

No fingerprints were recovered from the glass case or the broken picture.

The room is on the second floor of the house and is never locked, reports stated.

Access to the house is controlled by a cipher lock at the main door on the south side of the house, but there is also an unlocked gate on the north side of the house.

There are no suspects, witnesses or investigative leads at this time.


An electric motorized scooter was stolen from a gated area of Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St., Sunday.

The student who filed the report said that he had borrowed the scooter from a friend.

He told the responding officer that he had left his friend's scooter at the residence hall at about 3:30 p.m., reports stated.

It was gone when he returned nearly two hours later.

He said he did not secure the scooter at all and had checked with resident assistants to see if any of them had moved it.

Police advised the student to inform the owner of the scooter that his scooter had been stolen and to call the department to get more information about the case, reports stated.

There are no suspects or witnesses.


An officer on patrol noticed three Parking and Transportation signs lying in the intersection of East Fourth Street and North Vine Avenue at 1:14 a.m. on Sunday.

The officer said one of the signs appeared to have been run over and was shattered, causing a hazard to traffic, reports stated.

The officer removed the signs from the middle of the intersection.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A custodian reported suspicious activity at the Shantz building, 1200 E. South Campus Drive on Sunday.

The woman said she arrived at the building at 7:40 a.m. to find two doors open that are usually closed and locked, reports stated.

The officer checked the building. Room 118 and all of the outside doors on the south side of the building were open.

Nothing appeared missing or damaged in any of the rooms, reports stated.

There was no sign of forced injury.


A microwave was reported stolen from a Pinal Residence Hall room, 1511 E. Sixth St., Sunday.

The microwave was taken sometime between Oct. 14 and 15, reports stated.

The hall director is attempting to obtain the make and serial number of the stolen property and report it to UAPD.

There are no known suspects or witnesses.
