Gryzb, freshman trio lead Arizona in rout

The 2003-04 UA women's basketball team shook off a few early mistakes yesterday and showed why it deserved the preseason ranking it was given.

"We obviously need to work on some things, but overall it was a good effort," said senior guard Aimee Grzyb. [Read article]

With plenty of speed and ability to spread around, Arizona will showcase those talents for the first time this season in a real game situation. [Read article]

After relying heavily on her good friend and roommate, sophomore outside hitter Kim Glass, most of the season, Abernathy has been on a tear recently, leading the Wildcats to a 5-3 stretch in their last eight games - including a pair of victories over top-10 opponents. [Read article]

The Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Cardinals.

The Suns have suffered two narrow defeats in their first three regular-season games. But the young, enthusiastic franchise is optimistic that it can capitalize on last year's 44-win campaign, in which it nearly pushed the eventual NBA champion San Antonio Spurs to a decisive seventh game in the first round of the playoffs.
