A student called police Tuesday after her car was stolen from a Zone 1 parking lot, 1151 N. Vine Ave., reports stated.

The student said she parked and locked her white Honda Civic in the lot at 9 a.m. Sunday. When she returned at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the car was missing.

Police did not find broken glass or other signs of forced entry. There were no spare keys in the vehicle, and the student has no idea who would have taken the car, reports stated.

The car had more than 150,000 miles on it, and was worth approximately $2,000. There were numerous bumper stickers on the back as well.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student called police after his stereo was stolen from his car Monday, reports stated.

The student parked his car in a space at 1077 N. Highland Ave. at 11:30 p.m. the day before. When he went to pick up the car at 12:50 a.m. that morning, he noticed that the Aiwa CD player was missing. There was no other damage to the car.

The student also found a pair of jumper cables in the front seat, which were submitted into evidence.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A professor called police Monday after he saw a man inside a truck looking around with a flashlight, while parked at Skyview Residence Hall, 1050 E. Eighth St., reports stated.

The man ran from the white Ford Ranger when the professor approached. Along with the truck, police found that the driver-side rear window of a Nissan M20 had been shattered out and a 12-disk CD player was taken from the car.

The sliding back window of the truck was smashed in as well.

Police found nothing missing. There was a cell phone left in the car, reports stated.

Police called all of the numbers saved in its phone book and were able to make contact with a woman who didn't know the owner of the phone, reports stated.


A man was arrested at Saturday's football game after police found marijuana in his jacket and saw him trying to hand a pipe to a friend sitting next to him, reports

stated.

The officer first saw the man and three other people drinking Keystone Light beer while sitting in the stands of Arizona Stadium, 540 N. Vine Ave., reports stated.

When an officer approached the man to ask him to leave, he handed something to the woman sitting next to him.

The officer grabbed the man's arm, but found nothing, reports stated.

He then searched the man and found a bag of "green leafy substance" in his pocket.

After searching the area near their seats, police found a gold pipe with a bowl packed with a substance that smelled like marijuana, reports stated.

The man was arrested for possession of marijuana.


A student reported his car broken into Monday while it was parked at 1151 N. Vine Ave., reports stated.

The student parked and locked his black Nissan Pathfinder at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

When he returned at 3 p.m. Monday, he noticed that his car stereo was missing.

The driver-side door lock was also punched in and seven CDs were stolen, reports stated.

Police did not take fingerprints because the student had entered the vehicle before they got there.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A woman called police Tuesday after her car was stolen from a parking lot at 1224 N. Martin Ave., reports stated.

She parked her Red Saturn at 7:45 a.m., and when she returned at 5:47 p.m., it was gone.

She had a Club anti-theft device, but had not attached it to the steering wheel.

There was a spare key attached to the inside of the wheel well. Police found no broken glass or signs of forced entry, reports stated.

The car had a blue-and-white sticker that reads "Midway College" on the back window.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
