Arizona junior linebacker Kirk Johnson was arrested for the second time this year after being charged on two criminal counts.

Johnson, along with redshirt sophomore running back Gainus Scott, was charged with disorderly conduct on Monday, Nov. 3. Johnson was additionally charged with false reporting to law enforcement.

Both men were arraigned at Tucson Municipal Court on Nov. 13. Scott's pretrial is scheduled for Dec. 15, while Johnson's pretrial date is set for Dec. 16.

Johnson's arrest comes less than seven months after he was charged on two counts of drug possession in Casa Grande.

On April 19, Johnson was pulled over in Casa Grande after police spotted him driving with a fictitious license plate that read "The Boss" on the back of his car.

Once he pulled over, the officer on the scene noticed a bag of marijuana and rolling papers in Johnson's car.

Johnson was charged with one count of marijuana possession/use and another count of drug paraphernalia possession/use. A summons to appear in court for those charges was issued last Monday.

Johnson has been one of Arizona's leading tacklers this season, tallying 48 tackles and two forced fumbles.

Scott has been Arizona's No. 2 running back at times this season, but has seen only limited action. He has six carries for 11 yards on the year.

According to Tom Duddleston, Arizona sports information director, Scott will not accompany the team to Tempe for its game next Friday at Arizona State.
