An employee called police Monday after he discovered the lock to his hot dog cart had been broken, reports stated.

The employee of the hot dog cart in front of the Nugent building, 1212 E. University Blvd., found a master lock broken off of a cabinet, reports stated.

The employee also found another lock that had been tampered with, but not removed. Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A personal digital assistant was reported stolen Monday from the UA Campbell Farms, 1971 E. Roger Rd., reports stated.

An employee of the Campbell Farms called police after he noticed that his PDA was missing from his office. The employee last saw the PDA in his office Nov. 26, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student called police Monday after his bike was stolen from the Life Science South building, 1007 E. Lowell St., reports stated.

The student said he locked his blue and silver 18-speed mountain bike to a rack on the south side of the building at noon on Nov. 24, reports stated.

When he returned at 1:30 p.m. Monday, the bike was gone. The student locked the bike with a cable lock, reports stated.

The bike was worth $200. The lock and the basket on the front of the bike were each worth $5, reports stated.


A student called police after his bike and two locks were stolen from a rack at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student locked his bike Nov. 30 at 9:30 a.m. He returned Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and noticed that it was gone, reports stated.

The student used a U-Lock and a cable lock to secure the bike. Both locks and the bike were missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student called police Saturday after his motorized scooter was stolen from La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

The student locked his scooter to a bicycle rack on the south side of the building at 5:30 p.m. He went into the building to use the computer lab and when he returned at 6:45 p.m., the scooter was gone, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Police arrested a man and a woman Friday after they were caught using an illegal temporary license plate, reports stated.

A police officer ran the license plate of a red Dodge Ram pickup truck through the Motor Vehicle Division database on North Campbell Avenue. The license plate was reported to be suspended, reports stated.

The officer pulled the truck over and found that the passenger was the owner of the vehicle. The man admitted to changing the Vehicle Identification Number for the truck in order to get the temporary license plate, reports stated.

The man gave the officer 13 temporary paper license plates. The MVD allows drivers to apply for three per year. When the officer asked the man about the license plates, the man looked down at his feet and admitted that he had changed the VIN numbers on the MVD applications because he could not afford insurance, reports

stated.

The man was cited for driving without insurance and for driving with an expired registration, reports stated.


Police arrested a woman after she was caught driving with a suspended driver's license, reports stated.

An officer pulled the woman over after he saw that the white Buick Royal had a large crack in the windshield. The officer also noticed that the car was driving 10 miles over the posted 35 mph limit, reports stated.

After doing a background check on the woman, the officer found that she had an open disorderly conduct warrant for her arrest from the South Tucson Police Department, reports stated.

The woman was taken to Pima County Jail and released, reports stated.
