Stoops will be a great asset to UA football

Congratulations on snagging the absolute best coach available!

I am just a typical University of Oklahoma football fan, but I know how extremely valuable Mike Stoops is going to be to your program!

Arizona, like OU, takes pride in its football program (I still remember Desert Swarm), and I will not be surprised to see Arizona as PAC-10 champions within two years and playing for a national championship within four. [Read article]

Editorial: Zona Zoo: Only for students

You would think that to get some of the most coveted student tickets in the country, you'd have to be a student. You would think that verification of one's student status would be a prerequisite to purchasing Zona Zoo passes, which put holders' names into a lottery for men's basketball tickets.

In theory, you'd be right.

But in practice ... well, that's another story.

A Wildcat investigation found that of the 1,500 Zona Zoo pass holders who won basketball tickets, 20 are not students. These people, who are among the approximately 53,000 non students who hold CatCards because they're either staff, alumni or affiliated with the UA in some other way, simply presented their cards when they purchased the Zona Zoo pass. Most everyone has the desire be a "good" person. But what does that mean? What does it take to be good and what qualifies as good?

Currently Philosophy 323, Environmental Ethics, is debating this very issue. After spending the semester engaged in essays that challenge the global human community as to how it ought to live with respect to the natural environment, the instructor pressed the class with a single question: "Should the university force students to take environmental ethics by requiring the course for their graduation?" Everyone take a deep breath

The semester is coming to a close and finals are right around the corner, but don't panic. This time is hectic, as final projects, presentations and term papers are due and we are all gearing up for final exams. For many students, Dead Day marks the beginning of the final exam cram. However, cramming at the last minute only intensifies stress.
