Around midnight on Jan. 7, a man was stopped at North Fourth Avenue and East Seventh Street for failure to stop at a stop sign, reports stated.

The officer on the scene noticed that the driver's eyes were red, watery and bloodshot. He also noticed that the driver's face appeared flushed and red, reports stated.

The first officer on the scene called in another officer to conduct a field sobriety test. When the second officer asked the driver if he would agree to take a field sobriety test, the driver said, "I'll do the test because I had two beers; I mean three beers, like I told you," reports stated.

After the driver completed two field sobriety tests, officers read him his Miranda rights. The driver said he understood them and agreed to answer any questions.

He then said, "I'm just retarded." The driver was handcuffed and then transported to UAPD. He agreed to take a breathalyzer test, which showed a blood alcohol content level of .242, reports stated.

He was booked for extreme DUI and released to a friend.

A UA employee reported to police Friday that she was receiving harassing phone calls.

She told police that she had received hang-up phone calls every day from mid-November until Friday. The calls always occurred around 9:15 p.m. Police traced the calls back to "Girls Gone Wild," reports stated.

The calls appeared to be the result of an automated call list. Police asked a "Girls Gone Wild" operator to remove the university employee from their list, reports stated.

A crack pipe was found on a student Friday, reports stated.

The student already had a warrant out for her arrest, and an officer was trying to find her. He caught up with her on the fourth level of the Park Avenue Garage, 1140 N. Park Ave., around 1 a.m.

He discovered the crack pipe in her right pants pocket. She was booked for the existing warrant and charges of possessing narcotic paraphernalia, reports stated.

An officer pulled over a man for making an illegal left turn around midnight Saturday, reports stated.

The officer detected alcohol on the man's breath. He also noticed that the suspect had red, watery and bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, reports stated.

The driver admitted to drinking and was given two field sobriety tests. He agreed to take a breathalyzer and had a BAC of .216.

He was charged with extreme DUI and released to a yellow cab, reports stated.

While loading his equipment into a police vehicle Saturday, an officer found what appeared to be a glass crack pipe in the prisoner seat area behind the passenger seat, reports stated.

The officer asked another officer, who had previously driven the vehicle, about the crack pipe.

The police officer had recently transported two females but did not think the crack pipe had belonged to them, reports stated.

The officer asked a third officer, who had also driven the vehicle, about the crack pipe. The third officer said that he had carried passengers who had crack pipes, but he had not seen the one found in the back seat.

The glass crack pipe was placed into police custody, reports stated.

A window was broken Saturday at the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity house, 1510 N. Vine Ave., reports stated.

The resident of the room where the window was broken reported the incident to police around 3 p.m.

The police discovered the window had been broken by a rock. There is no suspect in the case and nothing was found missing in the room, reports stated.

Police investigated a report of a vandalized vehicle at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The incident took place at 527 N. National Championship Drive.

The vehicle's driver door window was broken out, reports stated.

Police found a large rock on the driver seat.

The center console appeared to be damaged, but nothing was stolen. A single fingerprint was found on top of the driver's door.

The vandalism was believed to have occurred sometime between Friday and Saturday, reports stated.

Police have no suspects, reports stated.
