An ASU student was arrested on a minor in possession charge at 3 a.m. Saturday at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student was a guest of a resident, but had not checked in.

The student tore down a sign in the hallway on the third floor. He appeared to be drunk, became belligerent and poked a resident assistant in the chest, reports stated.

He left the hall and tried to come back in. The RA at the desk recognized him and told him he could not enter the hall, reports stated.

The Arizona State University student took off his belt and threatened to hit the RA with it, reports stated.

The RA said he did not feel victimized by the threat, but wanted the student found and removed from the property, reports stated.

The resident snuck the ASU student back in the hall through the stairwell to his room. They were heard saying, "That big guy acted scared when I tore down that paper," reports stated.

When the men were told of the charges, the resident made excuses and refused to sign the citation. The officer smelled alcohol on the student's breath, reports stated.

Another officer was called in to talk to the students. The resident still didn't comply and became argumentative, reports stated.

The resident was handcuffed and taken to Pima County Jail. He was cited with minor in possession and false reporting to law enforcement.

The ASU student was escorted from the building and told he was not allowed to return, reports stated.

Two men were arrested for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace just after midnight on Saturday outside Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

A resident of the dorm called police after she heard the two men yelling at a room on the first floor. She said she'd heard one of the men yell, "Fuck you," and then she heard a girl scream, reports stated.

She thought the men were trying to get in because they were pushing on the gate to the courtyard for about five minutes, reports stated.

The men told police they were on their way home when they heard two unknown girls yell, "Hey baby," and the men said "hi" back. They denied causing more of a disturbance, reports stated.

The resident said she wanted to press charges.

The men were cited and released.

Sprinklers turned on and sprayed electrical equipment that was set up for a concert on the UA Mall, 1303 E. University Blvd., late Sunday night, reports stated.

The water turned on at 11:45 p.m. and turned off 10 minutes later. Maintenance was able to shut it off, reports stated.

Three officers attempted to protect the equipment but were not very successful, reports stated.

Several speakers and plasma-screen televisions were sprayed, but the employees setting up the equipment said they would not know if damage was done until the equipment was turned on, reports stated.

They weren't going to turn anything on until the next day in order to give it time to dry, reports stated.

Employees were told to contact UAPD if any damage was discovered.

Open bottles of alcohol were found in a car at 1 a.m. Sunday morning when it was pulled over at North Euclid Avenue and East Second Street, reports stated.

The car was pulled over because the license plate light was out. The officer saw the passenger holding two open bottles of Miller High Life between his legs, reports stated.

One bottle was empty and the other was half full.

The passenger said they were not drinking, but the officer could smell alcohol on his breath, reports stated.

The men were cited and released.

Two students broke a window with a water bottle in the Forbes building, 1140 E. South Campus Drive, just after 3 a.m. Saturday, reports stated.

The students were "football tossing" the bottle on their way back to their residence hall, reports stated.

One threw it too hard to his friend, and it went through the window, reports stated.

Breaking the window was not intentional and was only a result of horseplay, reports stated.

A student returned to her room in Hopi Lodge Residence Hall, 1440 E. Fourth St., at noon on Saturday to find her window broken, reports stated.

She said she left her room at 8 p.m. Friday with her window intact, reports stated.

The officer found an orange on the ground under the window with tears in its skin.

Maintenance was contacted to vacuum the glass and replace the windowpane, reports stated.
