Senior center Frye ready for final hometown matchup vs. ASU
Channing Frye may be traveling to his hometown of Phoenix this weekend to face rival ASU, but to the UA men's basketball team's four-year starting center, hitting the couch is just as nice as hitting the court.
"I go home, jump in my boxers and sit on my couch and play with my dogs. Maybe jump in the pool," he said with a grin. "Other than that, I'm pretty much a bum when it comes to being at home."

Men's Hoops Notes: Pac-10's top award still up for grabs
And the Pac-10 Player of the Year award goes to ...
ASU's Ike Diogu, senior guard Salim Stoudamire and senior center Channing Frye are all in the running, but the consensus favorite seems to be the ASU center Diogu, who has posted the longest double-digit scoring streak in the nation.
Diogu also leads the Pacific 10 Conference in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots, but one thing going against him is the Sun Devils' 7-10 record in the conference.

No. 6 Laxcats dominated 12-1 by No. 5 Wolverines
No. 5 Michigan overpowered the No. 6 Arizona men's lacrosse team, as the Laxcats fell to the Wolverines 12-1 last night at Rincon Vista.
The Wolverines opened the match with two goals on their first two shots of the game, as Arizona (3-2) was unable to hold on to the ball.
Several Arizona passes were overthrown, resulting in more time for Michigan to release shots at junior goaltender Charles Salemi.

Men's swim tied for 2nd at Pac-10 championships
The No. 6 Arizona men's swim team began its quest yesterday to place in the top five in the Pacific 10 Championships at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach, Calif.
The Wildcats are tied with California for second place with 66 points after the first day of competition.
The Arizona "A" relay team consisting of Gerhard Zanberg, juniors Dave Rollins, Lyndon Ferns and Simon Burnett placed third in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:26.08.

Men's tennis to face former coach in San Diego
The No. 29 Arizona men's tennis team is ready to hit the road again - against a familiar face.
The Wildcats (6-3) face No. 53 San Diego (1-3, 1-0) today at 1:30 p.m. in San Diego.
The Toreros have not played in three weeks, and their match against Arizona starts a span of back-to-back matches against ranked teams.
Arizona is coming off a 5-2 victory against in-state rival No. 33 ASU.
"Last weekend was great for us," said Arizona assistant coach Tad Berkowitz. "We're coming off a good win, and we're full of confidence."
