Group wrongly calling itself ZBT
I am writing regarding your article "ZBT party ends in red tags, arrests." Zeta Beta Tau fraternity withdrew recognition from its colony at the UA campus in October.
The group had been told on more than one occasion that it no longer had the right to identify itself as part of ZBT. Nor were they permitted to use the signs or symbols of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity, including letters on a house.
Zeta Beta Tau fraternity does not condone the activities that were described in the article "ZBT party ends in red tags, arrests."

Black History Month ignored in dorms
I am writing to discuss my disappointment with the presentation of Black History Month in the residence halls. I am a student within the stadium residence hall, Navajo-Pinal. I have been made aware that there is a lack of concern about properly recognizing Black History Month in the dorms. There are several informational bulletins about Valentine's Day, February being National Dental Health Month, as well as consistent seasonal decorations for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I specifically asked my hall director for more postings about Black History Month and said that I would help. I forwarded her some pictures and information so that we could start on a project. Instead of a presentable project, the pictures were posted and my six to seven highlighted and underlined Internet pages of information on selected history makers were taped to the wall under a section labeled "Black History Month Corner." This is the lack of concern that is directed toward Black History Month in the stadium residence hall and a few of the other residence halls on campus. I ended up spending my Saturday evening taking down these postings and properly organizing and decorating the information that I provided for Black History Month. We did not fight hard for our efforts and accomplishments to be ignored by the university or for indifference to be shown toward those who want to learn more about black history. There should be more staff involvement and staff self-motivation to start to recognize and organize events and bulletins to commemorate black history.

Shisha not a gateway drug
I find it a little difficult to believe that a hookah would be consumed by anyone as an alternative for marijuana as it is made of glass and metal and is a little difficult to consume and does not produce any desirable effects on the body. Also, it would be very difficult to smoke shisha out of a bong, as that is not what it is designed for. On the other hand, a hookah is very useful for smoking shisha (flavored unprocessed tobacco), as that is its intended use. To say that smoking shisha out of a hookah will lead to smoking marijuana out of a bong is like saying smoking a cigarette will lead to smoking a joint. Shisha is not a gateway drug (and for that matter neither is a hookah).
