A student verbally threatened a resident assistant at Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., Thursday night, reports stated.

The RA told police another student told her a student threatened the RA after he asked the student and others to keep the noise level down in the hallway, reports stated.

The student quoted the other student to the RA saying he said "if this happens again he will go down," reports stated.

The RA said the student advised her the quote was directed at the other RA, reports stated.

Police spoke with the RA who was supposedly threatened and he said he never heard any threats, reports stated.

He told police he did not want to press charges, he just wanted the incident documented, reports stated.

Police spoke with the student who reported the incident and he told police exactly what he had told the RA about the threat, reports stated.

Police have requested a detective follow-up with the accused student, reports stated.


A student's car was broken into while parked in a Zone 1 lot, 522 N. Tyndall Ave., sometime between March 23 and Thursday, reports stated.

The student told police an unknown person shattered the driver side window and stole the top of the gearshift, reports stated.

The student said the knob was factory made and told police nothing else was missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


Police responded to La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., after someone reported a resident was smoking marijuana on the first floor on March 21, reports stated.

The resident assistant told police he smelled burning marijuana he believed to be coming from a specific wing in the hall, reports stated.

Police spoke with the occupants of the room in the area who said a friend of theirs had smoked some marijuana earlier but they had not smoked any, reports stated.

Police did not find any marijuana, reports stated.

All three students were told the rules for drugs and alcohol in the hall, reports stated.


Two men's bicycles were stolen from the bike racks of the Student Recreation Center, 1400 E. Sixth St., Friday afternoon, reports stated.

The men told police the bicycles totaled approximately $11,100 in Canadian currency, reports stated.

The men said they secured their racing-style bikes with the same cable lock to the bike racks west of the Rec Center at 2:30 p.m., reports stated.

They told police they returned to the racks at 5 p.m. and discovered both bicycles had been stolen along with the cable lock, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student's Zone 1 parking permit was stolen from her car while parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1334 E. Helen St., sometime between March 23 and Thursday, reports stated.

The student told police she had parked her car in the lot on March 23 at 3 p.m. and noticed the permit missing at noon Thursday, reports stated.

She said there was no other damage or items stolen from her car, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


Criminal damage occurred at Robson Tennis Center, 900 N. Martin St., sometime between March 23 and Thursday, reports stated.

Police went to the location and found an unknown person used a large black marker to graffiti three large electrical lockers, reports stated.

Facilities management was advised and will respond to clean up the area, reports stated.

Police searched the area for evidence and found no investigative leads, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student was diverted to the Dean of Students Office for underage drinking Friday morning, reports stated.

A police officer saw three men run away from his patrol car at 1:18 a.m., reports stated.

When the officer turned around one man appeared to be running away from the other two men, reports stated.

The officer searched the area and found the three men sitting at a table at the Central Refrigeration Plant, 1339 E. Helen St., and talked to them to see if they were all right, reports stated.

Two of the students said they were trying to help the other student get home because he was very drunk, reports stated.

The police officer could smell the odor of alcohol on the student's breath, reports stated.

The student said, "I admit I'm a minor in possession," reports stated.

The officer explained to the student he would send him to the Dean of Students' referral program, reports stated.

One of the other students told the officer he had arranged for a car to take the drunken student home, reports stated.
