The Arizona men's golf team finished yesterday tied for sixth place at the Pacific 10 Conference Championships in Walla Walla, Wash.

The Wildcats shot a team total 366 and are currently 12-over par. Last season, Arizona won the tournament in comeback fashion and will have to do the same this year if it hopes to defend its crown.

Senior Nathan Lashley leads all Wildcats, tied at seventh with 1-over par yesterday. Senior Kipp Riehle is close behind tied at 17th. Riehle shot a 1-under par yesterday. Freshman Travis Esway rounds out the Wildcats' top three, working his way to a tie at 21st with a 5-over par.

No. 21 Arizona will play 18 more holes today and 18 tomorrow to finish out the tournament.

ASU's Pat Moore leads the pack after two rounds of 67, to shoot an 8-under par, while UCLA leads the team total at 3-under par and a two-round total of 707.

The Arizona women's golf team was awarded a No. 6 seed in the NCAA West Regional in Las Cruses, N.M., beginning May 5.

The Wildcats will compete with No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 4 Tennessee and No. 5 Southern California.

California, Washington State, Stanford and Oregon will all compete in the regional from the Pac-10.
