The driver-side door lock on a student’s Jeep was damaged sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning while it was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 520 N. Euclid Ave., reports stated.

The student said that although the door was unlocked, nothing was missing from the Jeep.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

Two minors were cited for underage drinking early Sunday morning after police got a call about them staggering near North Park Avenue and East Fourth Street, reports stated.

When police arrived one of the boys said he didn’t know why his friend was staggering. When police asked the boy if there was anything in his pockets he said, “No, you can look in my pockets,” reports stated.

Police found a 3-inch glass-smoking pipe in the boy’s left front pocket. The pipe smelled like marijuana.

Police also found 4 cigarettes and firecrackers on the boy. Police noticed that he smelled like alcohol, reports stated.

When police asked the boy if he had had anything to drink he said, “Yeah, 3 or 4 shots of gin,” reports stated.

The boy admitted the pipe had been used to smoke marijuana, but said he hadn’t smoked any today.

Police noticed that the boy’s friend had red eyes and couldn’t answer direct questions. The friend smelled like alcohol and told police he was 14 years old. Police cited the boy for underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia. His friend was cited for underage drinking.

The firecrackers were given to Tucson Fire Department for disposal. The cigarettes were destroyed and the pipe was placed into evidence, reports stated.

A stolen car was found Sunday night near East Eighth Street and North Highland Avenue and the owner was warned that it might be towed if he didn’t pick it up, reports stated.

The white Buick had been reported stolen to Tucson Police Department. The owner told police it had been stolen sometime June 20 or June 21.

Police discovered the car around 7: 30 p.m. on Sunday. They noticed that some doors were unlocked and some windows were down. The radio was missing from the car.

Police found blueprints, paperwork, a tool belt and a blue jacket in the car.

The owner of the car told police that he couldn’t pick it up until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Police told the man that they couldn’t secure the car and told the owner that if the car wasn’t there when he came it had probably been towed by the city.

They told the owner the car had been cited by the City of Tucson numerous times, reports stated.

A man was cited for possession of marijuana early Saturday morning after almost running a red light at North Fourth Avenue and East Speedway Boulevard, reports stated.

The man had been stopped at a red light and had tried to go while the light was still red, but had stopped again.

When police pulled the man over he ran into the street curb.

There were five passengers in the car and police asked the driver to step out so they wouldn’t embarrass him in front of his friends, reports stated.

Police did not smell alcohol on the man and asked him if he was on any drugs.

The man said, “I smoked marijuana earlier,” and allowed police to search his car, reports stated.

Police found a baggie of marijuana under the front passenger seat. The passengers of the car were questioned and told police they had not known about the marijuana.

The driver was cited and released. He was told not to drive home and the passengers were all picked up by their parents, reports stated.

A man was ticketed early Saturday morning for riding his mini motorcycle in the bike lane near East Speedway Boulevard and North Cherry Avenue, reports stated.

When police pulled the man over he said that he was allowed to be in the bike lane because it was a small bike. Police showed him the statutes that made it against the law.

The man was also cited for having a suspended license and for having no proof of insurance, reports stated.
