A student’s two $79 soft cover textbooks were reported missing sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday from the student’s car while it was parked at Tyndall Avenue Parking Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., reports stated.
The student said he parked his car around 6 p.m. Tuesday and drove the car home around 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The student said he didn’t notice the textbooks were gone until he got home.
There were no signs of forced entry.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A student’s $80 blue mountain bike was reported missing Wednesday from the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
The student said he locked the bike with a cable lock around 3 p.m. and returned three hours later and the bike was gone.

Someone put graffiti on a pillar on the west side of Tyndall Avenue Parking Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., sometime before Wednesday night, reports stated.
Around 6:30 p.m. a man pointed out the graffiti to police. Someone had written in black marker, “Should I deal with the things to come? Or pull the trigger of the gun?”
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia early Wednesday morning after police stopped him at North Park Avenue and East Speedway Boulevard for riding a bike without a headlight, reports stated.
Police stopped the man around 1:30 a.m. A records check showed the man had previous contact with police for drug use.
Police asked the man if he had anything illegal on him.
The man said, “Yes, well just a needle, but I haven’t used it today,” reports stated.
Police placed the needle into evidence and the man was released.
A student’s USB jump drive and car keys were stolen Wednesday afternoon from the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
The student said he had left the keys at a computer. The student said when he came back a minute later the keys were gone and someone else was at the computer.
The student told police that he asked the people in the area if they had seen anything and they had said no.

Someone shattered the rear window on a UA employee’s Toyota sometime between Wednesday and Friday while the Toyota was parked at the Sixth Street Parking Garage, 1201 E. Sixth St., reports stated.
The employee said he noticed the shattered glass around 5 p.m. Friday. The employee said nothing was stolen from the car and there was no other damage.
Police found a small rock in the back seat of the car.
There are no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
Someone damaged the plastic trim of the passenger’s-side door handle of a student’s Ford sometime between Sunday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon while the Ford was parked at Tyndall Avenue Parking Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., reports stated.
Police noticed it looked like someone had tried to force an object into the keyhole on the door handle.
The lock still worked and there were no signs that anyone had gotten into the Ford.
