Football roundup: Stoops cries foul over officials' late-game calls
Most of the talk surrounding a football game traditionally revolves around the two teams competing. But this week, a third-party has come entered the post-game subject matter mix: the referees.
In Arizona's 9-7 loss to Wisconsin Saturday, several calls by the officials came into question.
Head coach Mike Stoops said he was displeased with a few of the calls made during Saturday's contest and was going to contact the Pacific 10 Conference head of officiating as a result.

Knauer's Korner: UA kicker Folk no Norwood
With time winding down in Saturday's game against Wisconsin, Arizona's Nick Folk made his final warm-ups on the Badgers' 30-yard line. It was fourth-and-15, and the offense had failed to give Folk a closer shot.
A 47-yard field goal was all that separated the Wildcats from their second win over a ranked opponent in five seasons.
With that in mind, the sophomore watched the snap leap into the hands of holder Danny Baugher.

Women's golf in 7th after day 1 of 'Preview'
The Wildcat women's golf team found itself in seventh place after day one in Bend, Ore., sitting in the top half of arguably the strongest field of the fall semester.
Arizona collected four consistent rounds to find itself at 10-over par 294 to start the first round of the Mercedes-Benz of Bend Women's Fall Preview.
The Duke Blue Devils are leading the tournament riding the sensational round by Brittany Lang, who posted a 7-under par, 64 to lead by three shots.

Men's hoops lottery winners named today
The UA athletics department and the Associated Students of the University of Arizona will announce this morning first-phase winners of the men's basketball student ticket lottery. Names will be posted on the UA athletics Web site at arizonaathletics.com.
Students who purchased a Zona Zoo sports pass prior to Friday were entered in the lottery for lower-level basketball tickets to a portion of the UA men's basketball team's 2004-05 home schedule at McKale Center.
