Junior midfielder Nikki David scored two goals in less than a minute in a 4-0 victory over Northern Arizona on Friday. The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native talked with the Wildcat about the weather and getting rescued by Tad Hamilton.

Wildcat: You had one goal in your first two seasons, and this year you already have three. Is there any major difference in your game from then to now?

David: Yeah, I think I have personally improved tremendously. (The coaches) have helped me so much. My teammates have also helped. All of us just coming together. We are learning each other's tendencies, and it helps so much more.

Wildcat: What do you think of the team's play so far this season?

David: We're doing awesome. We are just capitalizing on the other teams' mistakes, we're winning games, and we're finally getting the 'W' - which is an awesome feeling.

Wildcat: Of your remaining games this season, are there any in particular that you look forward to more than the others?

David: I always look forward to the California schools, USC and UCLA, because I am from there, and especially USC because I was recruited to play there. I also have four friends that play there. Also Oregon, because I have a bunch of friends that play there too.

Wildcat: You also ran track in high school. Is there a reason you chose soccer over track?

David: I have more of a passion for soccer than for track.

Wildcat: What events did you do?

David: High jump, long jump, 200, 4x100, 4x400, 400.

Wildcat: Wow. Renaissance woman. Are there any other sports you participated in or follow?

David: I like football and basketball; I like all sports.

Wildcat: Did you go to the football game Saturday?

David: Yeah.

Wildcat: Did you stay during all the rain?

David: We stayed until it started raining, and then we watched it on TV.

Wildcat: Do you like playing in the rain?

David: Yeah (smiles).

Wildcat: Is there any game you played in that sticks out to you that was in really bad weather?

David: I just remember a practice where it started hailing, and we didn't know what we should do. It was just popping up everywhere.

Wildcat: Okay, now for my random, finish-the-sentence questions. When I am not playing soccer, I like to...

David: Watch TV and eat.

Wildcat: What do you like to watch on TV?

David: Friends.

Wildcat: What do you like to eat?

David: Everything.

Wildcat: When I need a good laugh, the movie I put in is...

David: I would have to say "Meet the Parents" or "Dumb and Dumber."

Wildcat: If I was stranded on a deserted island, I would want (blank) to rescue me.

David: Josh (Duhamel), that guy from "(Win a Date with) Tad Hamilton?" Him.
