School Matinee. UApresents Garth Fagan Dance at Garth Fagan Dance, now in its 33rd season, has choreographed Disney’s “The Lion King,” among other projects. Known as the “Fagan technique” and created by Jamaican-born Garth Fagan in 1970, this dance has a specialized vocabulary all its own, often drawing from Afro-Caribbean themes. 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $5. Movie at Gallagher. “A History of Violence” is being shown Viggo Mortensen stars as a pillar of a small-town community who runs a diner and lives a happy, quiet life with his wife and children. Their lives are forever changed when Mortensen thwarts an attempted robbery and is lauded as a hero by the media, attracting the attention of some mobsters who believe he is someone else.
