Redshirt freshman quarterback thrust to forefront against No. 7 Golden Bears

UA quarterback Richard Kovalcheck's parents hadn't missed an Arizona football game all year.

photo Soccer to tango with Sun Devils in Tempe

The last stop of a three-game road trip ends in Tempe today as the Wildcat soccer team faces ASU at 7 p.m.

When the Sun Devils and Wildcats last met on Oct. 18, 2003, the UA was 0-2 in the Pacific 10 Conference.

Arizona played ASU to a 1-1 overtime tie at home, which was the UA's best result against their in-state rival after losing its first eight tries. ASU came in ranked at No. 24 and finished second in the Pac-10 race, while the UA finished unranked and tied for ninth in the conference. [Read article]

Volleyball to battle rival ASU in McKale

Unfortunately for the No. 23 Arizona volleyball team, the similarities between it and in-state rival ASU are anything but few and far between.

Although the Wildcats boast a national ranking, Arizona (11-7) and Arizona State (8-9) hold identical Pacific 10 Conference records at three wins and five losses.
