A man was cited for possession of marijuana early Tuesday morning after police pulled him over for going straight in a right turn-only lane at East Sixth Street and North Park Avenue, reports stated.
Police noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the man's car. The man had red, watery eyes.
The man said he was on break from work at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and had pulled into a Jack in the Box to smoke.
When police asked the man if he had any marijuana on him, he said he had some in his jacket pocket. Police found a bag of a green leafy substance, reports stated.
When police ran a records check on the man, they discovered he had a suspended license.
The man said he had smoked a Swisher Sweet cigar that contained marijuana.
Police asked the man if he felt impaired, and the man said, "No, but I wish I was high," reports stated.
The man was cited and released to a friend, reports stated.
A student's $30 red mountain bike was stolen Wednesday from McClelland Hall, 1130 E. Helen St., reports stated.
The student said he locked his bike with a cable lock around 10:45 a.m. and returned around 12:15 p.m. to find his bike gone.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A $15 Harper Collins Spanish concise dictionary with photographs in it was found early Wednesday morning at a water fountain near Old Main, 1200 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
There were nine 4"x 6" photos in the dictionary.
Police placed it into property for safekeeping, reports stated.
Three students were cited for underage drinking early Wednesday morning after police saw one of the students chasing another through the parking lot at the Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., reports stated.
Police first saw the male student chase one of the female students down the stairs and into the parking lot. The female student was screaming and running in between cars.
When police stopped the male student, they handcuffed him because of how the situation looked, reports stated.
The male student said he was only playing around with the two female students.
Police smelled alcohol on the male student's breath and asked him if he had been drinking. He said he had taken two shots.
Police then asked him if he had any alcohol in his room and he said he had a quarter of a bottle of vodka.
Police then confiscated the vodka and poured it out.
The two female students said they had just been goofing off with the male student. Police smelled alcohol on the students' breath and they also admitted to drinking.
When the two female students were looking for their IDs police saw a fake ID in one of the students' wallets.
When police asked the student about it, she said, "Well, it's not mine." The student then said, "It doesn't mean anything," reports stated.
The student was cited for having a fake ID and underage drinking and released. The other two students were cited for underage drinking and released.
Someone threw a $350 purple park bench into the bushes outside the Main Library sometime Tuesday, 1510 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
When police arrived a facilities management employee said the bench had been found in the south stairwell. The bench had been torn from its bolted down position.
Police found purple paint on the handrail, reports stated.
The employee said he would see about getting the bench repaired.
Police have no suspects.
A student's $150 blue mountain bike was stolen sometime between Monday and Wednesday from Skyview Apartments, 1050 E. Fifth St., reports stated.
The student said he locked his bike with a cable lock around 9:30 p.m. on Monday and returned around 11 a.m. Wednesday to find it gone.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
Police found a $5 bill Wednesday night in front of the Electrical and Computer Engineering building, 1230 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.
Police put the bill into property and evidence, reports stated.
A $4,000 composite picture of Delta Gamma sorority members was stolen sometime between Nov. 20 and Wednesday from the Delta Gamma Sorority house, 1448 E. First St., reports stated.
Three sorority members told police they thought one of the fraternities stole the picture.
The suspects left an obscene drawing taped to the door of the sorority, reports stated.
Police put the drawing into evidence, reports stated.
