An employee's satellite radio was stolen from his car in a Zone 1 parking lot, 435 N. Fremont Ave., reports stated.

The employee parked his car around 8 a.m. Friday, and when he returned at 6:30 p.m. the passenger's window was rolled down 80 percent and the radio was gone, reports stated.

The employee told police when he parked his car he rolled up his windows and locked the doors.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


An employee was arrested for aggravated assault when he threatened a man and a woman with a folding knife Saturday afternoon, reports stated.

The employee told police he was walking back from a UA basketball game in McKale Center, when he noticed a man and woman walking their dogs, reports stated.

He said the people stopped to give their dogs drinks from a public drinking fountain west of Posada San Pedro Residence Hall, 601 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

The employee said he was disgusted and informed the man and woman that other people will use the fountain and it is not a dog facility, reports stated.

The employee said the man called him a "dickweed," reports stated.

The employee told police the man threatened him with his dog, who was growling and barking at the employee, reports stated.

The employee pulled out a folding knife for protection because he felt threatened, reports stated.

When police spoke to the man and woman, they said they were giving a drink to their dogs when a man walked by, yelled profanity and told them to stop using the fountain, reports stated.

The man said the employee approached them in an aggressive manner, reports stated.

The man said the employee pulled a folding knife out of his pocket and held it one to two feet in front of him, reports stated.

Police searched the area for witnesses to the confrontation but could find none.

The employee did not want to press charges against the man, but the man did press charges on the employee, reports stated.

The employee was cited and released at the scene.


An unknown person vandalized a second story

window Saturday in the Life Sciences building, 1007 E. Lowell St., reports stated.

Police found two small rocks near a broken window at 9:52 p.m., reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student's purse was stolen at a social gathering Saturday at Kappa Sigma fraternity, 1423 E. First St., reports stated.

The student said she was dancing with friends in the north courtyard at 12:50 a.m. when a man she just met offered to take and watch her purse, repots stated.

The student said she would leave it on the floor by a wall close to where she was going to be, reports stated.

The student said before she knew it, the man and the purse were gone, reports stated.

The student tried to call her cell phone, but it had been turned off, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student was arrested for underage drinking Saturday after he attempted to run away from police twice, reports stated.

Police spotted the student walking near North Mountain Avenue and East Speedway Boulevard against a red light, reports stated.

Police stopped the student who identified himself, but did not have any identification cards with him, reports stated.

The student's eyes were bloodshot and watery and he had a strong odor of intoxicants on his breath, reports stated.

The student seemed nervous and evasive with his answers, reports stated.

Police began to issue the student's citation and the

student took off running, reports stated.

The student had already told police he lived in Manzanita-Mohave Residence Hall, 1010 N. Park Ave., so police went to the hall's front desk, reports stated.

The desk assistant gave police the student's room

number but no one was in the room when police knocked, reports stated.

Police left to get the student's phone number and

spotted the student on the second floor, reports stated.

The student saw police and ran upstairs to the fourth floor and into a bathroom, reports stated.

Police found the student hiding in the shower, reports stated.

The student was taken to Pima County Jail.
