A student’s hood emblem was stolen off her Jaguar while parked in a Zone 1 lot, 520 N. Euclid Ave., Saturday afternoon, reports stated.

The student told police she last saw the emblem on her car at 3 p.m. when she parked her car, reports stated.

When she went back out to her car at 5 p.m. she noticed the emblem was missing, reports stated.

There was no damage to the hood of the car. She told police the emblem was attached by a cable-type device, which is also missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

Blood was smeared on the northwest hallway wall of La Aldea Residence Hall, 825 E. Fifth St., Saturday morning, reports stated.

A student told police he was awaken by the sound of pounding on the hallway wall at 6:30 a.m., reports stated.

He stepped outside of his second-floor room and saw three men, reports stated.

The student asked the men if they were bouncing a basketball or hitting the wall. One of the men said they were hitting the wall, reports stated.

The student asked them to keep the noise down and all three men left the area, reports stated.

The student told police he went back into the hallway a few minutes later to make sure the men were gone before going back to bed. When he did this he noticed blood had been smeared along the wall between two rooms, reports stated.

Police found no further damage and have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.

A student was referred to the Dean of Students Office for underage drinking at a traffic stop at East Second Street and North Park Avenue, early Saturday morning, reports stated.

Police saw a car headed westbound down East Second Street, which is eastbound only, reports stated.

Police pulled the car over and asked the driver if he knew Second Street was an eastbound only street. The driver responded, “No, I thought I saw a double yellow line,” reports stated.

While talking to the driver, police could smell alcohol coming from the car, reports stated.

Police asked the driver and passenger if they had been drinking and both said, “No,” reports stated.

Police had the driver perform field sobriety tests and he passed. Police could not smell alcohol on him, reports stated.

The driver said he was a “designated driver,” reports stated.

Police spoke with the passenger and could smell alcohol on his breath and body, reports stated.

Police asked him where he had been and he said, “Sigma Alpha Epsilon.” He then said, “I lied, I have been drinking, I am drunk,” reports stated.

Police told him he would be referred the Dean of Students Office for diversion.

A student had about $875 worth of belongings stolen from his room at Kappa Alpha Fraternity house, 906 N. First Ave., sometime Sunday morning, reports stated.

The student told police there had been a large party the night before that lasted until about 4 a.m. He said police had responded and reports had been made referencing fights and other thefts, reports stated.

The student told police he went to sleep in his bedroom at 1 a.m. and left the door cracked open, reports stated.

He said he left his digital camera, watch and cell phone on a table in the middle of the room, reports stated.

He woke up at 11 a.m. and noticed his door was open wide and his belongings were missing, reports stated.

The student and another member of the fraternity said there had been two suspicious men walking up and down the hallway. They gave their description and names to police, reports stated.

They told police nobody saw the men in any room and said there were a lot of people walking through the hallway throughout the night. One of the members said he was hanging out with the two men and did not see them do anything out of the ordinary, reports stated.

Police checked the party guest registry and the names of the two men were not on the list, reports stated.

The student said he did not suspect anyone in particular, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student’s mountain bike was stolen from the bike racks at the Psychology building, 1503 E. University Blvd., sometime Monday, reports stated.

The student told police she locked her bike to the bike racks on the south side of the building with a U-Lock at 3 p.m., reports stated.

She returned to the bike racks at 6:30 p.m. and found that her bike and U-Lock were missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
