An employee found a baggie of cocaine on the floor of a restroom at a campus residence hall Friday, reports stated.

The employee told police that at around 8 a.m., when she was cleaning the women's bathroom in the lobby of Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., she found a baggie containing a white powdery substance.

Police later tested the substance using a cocaine field test. The substance tested positive, reports stated. The cocaine was placed into UAPD property for destruction.

There are no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A student contacted police Tuesday to report that $595 worth of items had been stolen from her car, reports stated.

The student told officers that at 10:45 a.m., she parked her car at 1050 E. Ninth St. She returned to her car at 4:50 p.m., and discovered that her car had been broken into. Her car stereo, two textbooks, running shoes, running shorts, warm-up pants and baseball glove were stolen from inside the car.

The car door handle and keyhole had been damaged and appeared to be how the suspect entered the car, reports stated.

No fingerprints could be found because the student touched the damaged area.

There are no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A student reported $230 worth of items stolen from his car Tuesday, reports stated.

The student told officers at he parked his car at 1221 N. Cherry Ave at 9:30 a.m. He returned to the car at 1:30 p.m., and found his eight-inch bass tube speaker missing from the rear floorboard along with a CD case containing 30 CDs. He discovered the suspect had punched in the lock on the passenger door to unlock it. A flat-type tool similar to a flat head screwdriver may have been used, reports stated.

Police only found partial fingerprints because the student touched the damaged area, reports stated.

There are no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A student contacted police Tuesday to report that his car stereo was stolen, reports stated.

The student parked his car at 9:30 a.m. at 1136 N. Rincon Ave. When he returned to his car at 11:45 a.m., he discovered his car stereo containing a CD was stolen, and his driver's side door had been damaged.

It appeared the side door was pried open, reports stated

The car was too dirty to be fingerprinted. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


An employee reported that his parking permit was stolen from his Jeep Tuesday, reports stated.

The employee told police that he parked his Jeep at 8 a.m. Monday inside the Cherry Garage, 1640 E. Enke St. When he returned to the car at 6 p.m., he discovered his parking garage permit had been taken, reports stated.

There was no evidence of forced entry, but the suspect may have entered the Jeep by unzipping the window, reports stated.

The permit was the only item missing from the Jeep.

There are no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A student reported Tuesday that her $250 purse was taken from her dorm room, reports stated.

The student told officers her purse had been taken from her room sometime between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Apache-Santa Cruz Residence Hall, 1440 E. Fifth St.

She said she was unsure if the room was locked during that time. She told police she asked the girl next door, but the neighbor said she had not seen the purse, reports stated.

The student described the purse as black and small.

There are no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A student reported losing her $70 silver bracelet Tuesday, reports stated.

The student told police she lost the bracelet at the Franklin Building, 1011 E. Fifth St. She last had the bracelet at 9:30 a.m. and discovered it missing at 11 a.m.

There is no further information regarding this case, reports stated.


A student reported Tuesday that she lost her cellular telephone Thursday, reports stated.

The student told officers she lost the phone at 5 p.m. Thursday, at the bench just north of the Social Sciences building, 1145 N. South Campus Dr.

She has canceled her phone service, reports stated.
