A UA employee called police Wednesday after finding a syringe in a university vehicle, reports stated.

Police responded to the Arizona Stadium Custodial Office, 541 N. Cherry Ave., after an employee found the syringe in the back of the vehicle in a sharps container, reports stated.

The syringe was believed to be put in the back of the vehicle between the hours of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, reports stated.

The syringe was placed into evidence.


A UA student's cell phone was stolen from a campus library Wednesday night, reports stated.

The student told police that between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. his cell phone was stolen from the third floor of the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd.

The student set his phone on a table, but when he turned around, it was gone, reports stated.

Police do not have any suspects.


A UA student's bicycle was stolen from outside a campus library Wednesday, reports stated.

The student told police he locked his bike to a rack on the northwest side of the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., around 12:45 p.m. When he returned more than an hour later, the cable lock he used was cut and the bike was gone, reports stated.

The student gave police the bike's serial number, which allowed them to list the bike in a national database of stolen items, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses at this time.


A Tucson man was cited and told not to drive after police discovered Wednesday he had a suspended license, reports stated.

An officer was monitoring traffic with a radar gun when he tracked the man's green Ford Expedition speeding at 36 mph in a 25 mph zone on North Highland Avenue near East Eighth Street.

After he was pulled over, the driver told the officer he didn't have a license. When the officer asked if his license had been suspended he answered affirmatively, reports stated.

The man gave the officer his name, and a records check showed that his license had been suspended, reports stated.


A student's $1,200 bicycle was stolen Wednesday from outside a campus building, reports stated.

The student told police he locked his bike with a U-lock to a rack next to the building at 117 E. Lowell St. He said he locked it up around 7:30 a.m., but when he returned around 3:30 p.m. it was gone, reports stated.

The student gave officers the bike's serial number, and they entered it into a national database of stolen goods, reports stated.

Police do not have any suspects or witnesses.


UAPD officers told a Tucson woman not to drive after they found she was driving on a suspended license Wednesday, reports stated.

An officer was observing traffic with a radar gun when he spotted a red Ford Windstar speeding at 25 mph in a 15 mph zone on East University Blvd.

The woman told police she knew she was going about 25 mph and knew it was a 15 mph zone, but she was late to work, reports stated.

The woman also told police she knew her license was suspended, reports stated.
